Strength of schedule is calculated from the opponents projected fantasy points allowed for the LB position. The best rating is +16 which gives the player the advantage against the defense and indicates an easy opponent, the worst rating is -16 which gives the defense the advantage and indicates a tough opponent.
Bowman was phenomenal in 2013, racking up a career-high 145 tackles. That included 120 solos, which trailed only Arizona's Karlos Dansby last year. Then the season ended in the worst way imaginable, with a torn ACL in the NFC Title Game loss to the Seattle Seahawks. That ACL tear also leaves Bowman's early-season eligibility very much in question, with Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area stating on June 3 that Bowman's most likely return dates are 'Oct. 19 at Denver or, following the bye, Nov. 2 vs. St. Louis.' When he's on the field Bowman's a top-five IDP talent, but at this point unless there's a significant change in his recovery timetable it appears likely Bowman will start the 2014 campaign on the PUP list.
