Strength of schedule is calculated from the opponents projected fantasy points allowed for the DL position. The best rating is +16 which gives the player the advantage against the defense and indicates an easy opponent, the worst rating is -16 which gives the defense the advantage and indicates a tough opponent.
To say that Geno Atkins had a bad 2013 is something of an understatement along the lines that to say Donald Sterling is an unpleasant person is something of an understatement. Right when it appeared that the 26-year-old had finally shaken off a month long funk to start the year, Atkins tore his ACL against the Miami Dolphins and was done for the year. With that said though, Atkins is expected to be ready for Opening Day, and as recently as two years ago Atkins was a top-five fantasy defensive lineman. Atkins may not enter draft season as a DL1 this year, and the gap between him and the other DT isn't as wide as last year, but Atkins remains king of the beefeaters.
