Season Projections
One of the bigger IDP surprises of OTAs took place in Miami. Not only was Koa Misi running ahead of Dannell Ellerbe (who the Dolphins signed to a fat free agent deal just one year ago) at middle linebacker, but Misi was staying on the field in the nickel. Defensive coordinator Kevin Coyle wouldn't commit to the switch being permanent, but he did tell Armando Salguero of The Miami Herald, 'I can't commit today that it's a done deal but I like what we're seeing.' Misi has never impressed as an overly athletic or rangy player, but the four-year veteran is a hard-nosed linebacker who appears to have the trust of his coaches. If he sticks as a three-down MIKE, Misi's relative anonymity could make him a very nice value in IDP drafts this summer.
