Against the Odds – Week 13

Vinnie’s Week 13 picks

Miami Dolphins @ St. Louis Rams (NL): Miami had its four-game winning streak snapped in an AFC East rematch versus the Patriots last week. Miami’s most reliable receiver (Greg Camarillo) won’t be in the lineup the rest of the year, and Marc Bulger and Orlando Pace should return for the Rams this week. The Rams have been middle-of-the-road defending the pass, recently, but atrocious defending the run. Jackpot for Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams!

Gimme the Dolphins.

Indianapolis Colts @ Cleveland Browns (+4.5): The Colts have been getting it done at home and away, and with Joseph Addai in the backfield once again, the offense has been more balanced. Make no mistake, though, Peyton Manning is carrying this team. The Browns, meanwhile are struggling in pass defense and things are back in Derek Anderson‘s questionable hands. Indy’s chances at an AFC wildcard playoff spot are improving by the week, and this matchup does little to defy that.

Gimme the Colts minus the points.

Baltimore Ravens @ Cincinnati Bengals (+7.5): Baltimore has won five of its last six, the loss coming against the Giants and all five victories in that span decided by double-digit points. Cincy’s run defense has been respectable, but Joe Flacco should be good for a big play or two. It’s the Ravens defense which will ensure a blowout in this one, though. Expect Baltimore to leave it all on the field, in an important divisional game, as the Pittsburgh Steelers hold a one-game lead in the AFC North.

Gimme the Ravens minus the points.
