Denver Broncos at Oakland Raiders (+10)
The Broncos are currently on a seven-game winning streak after defeating Tampa Bay at home last week. Peyton Manning and the offense are third in the league in points scored, averaging 29.1 points per game. The Raiders defense is last in the NFL in points allowed, giving up 31.3 points per game.
In their Week 4 matchup, Manning threw for 338 yards and three touchdowns in leading the Broncos to a 37-6 victory. The Raiders are on a five-game losing streak and I don’t expect them to snap that skid this week. They face an improved Broncos defense that is allowing 308.2 yards per game, third in the NFL, and the Broncos are in contention for a top seed to get a first-round bye in the playoffs.
Running back Darren McFadden is expected to play. He has been out since Week 9 due to an injured ankle. That won’t be enough as the Broncos should win this game rather easily and cover the big spread.
Gimme the Broncos minus the points.
Please make sure to check back Friday for my four-star picks and my take on the rest of the NFL schedule.
