With only three weeks left in the regular season, there aren’t many more chances to play pick’em against the line. Have fun this week, and like Vinnie, you might consider staying away from divisional games.
San Francisco @ Miami (-6.5): The rebuilding Dolphins are one of the feel-good stories of 2008 – that is, unless you’re a Pats, Jets or Bills fan. Chad Pennington, Ronnie Brown and the like will get held in check this weekend, though. The Niners defense has been much-improved since Mike Singletary took over as head coach. And with Frank Gore probably a scratch, I think we’ll see Shaun Hill continue to step up, doing his part to keep this game within reach.
Gimme the 49ers plus the points.
Minnesota @ Arizona (NL): Minnesota holds a slim lead in the NFC North but will have to fend off the Chicago Bears the rest of the way. The Vikes have won five games out of six since their Week 8 bye, and it appears the Williams “brothers” anchoring the defense will get to play at least the next two games. That said, the Cards host this one and their only loss at home came against the New York Giants. In terms of matchups, Kurt Warner should be able to distribute the ball to Anquan Boldin, Larry Fitzgerald and/or Steve Breaston with ease.
Gimme the Cardinals.
