Marshall Williams

I am one of the new staff writers for this upcoming season. Throughout the year, I'll be covering streaming defenses, DFS related content, and whatever else comes my way. Many thanks to the FantasySharks team for this opportunity!

STREAMING DEFENSES: Week 14

LB Darron Lee NYJ

Streaming the Jets simply means you are banking on a bad game from Ryan Fitzpatrick. Granted, Fitzpatrick just lit up the Eagles defense last Sunday but that success is not sustainable, especially traveling to frigid New York.

STREAMING DEFENSES: Week 13

Helmet_Philadelphia_Eagles_1

The Eagles defensive unit has seen a sudden resurgence in recent weeks. In their last 4 games, they have yet to allow an opponent to score more than 17 points. Ryan Fitzpatrick will be a sitting duck this weekend against the Eagles stellar pass rush with multiple sacks and turnovers on the table in this contest.

STREAMING DEFENSES: Week 12

Helmet_Cleveland_Browns_1

Cleveland plays host to the Miami Dolphins this coming Sunday. As of late, Miami has been somewhat competitive in games and managing to scores points. Ryan Fitzpatrick has been taking care of the football, with only one turnover in the past three games. The law of averages means that is due to change.

DFS STACK ATTACK: Week 11

RB Alvin Kamara NOS

Alvin Kamara thrives while catching the ball in space, and is always a big play threat. Trust Sean Payton to not foolishly run Kamara up the gut against this front, as other coaches have done with their backs.

STREAMING DEFENSES: Week 11

Helmet_Oakland_Raiders_1

Oakland was able to sack Philip Rivers five times last Thursday night. They brought the heat all game long, forcing Rivers to make serious mistakes and turn the ball over a bunch. More of the same will be in store against Cincinnati, who has one of the worse offensive lines in the league.

DFS STACK ATTACK: Week 10

WR Christian Kirk ARI & CB Casey Hayward LAC

The problem all year with the Cardinals has been deciding who to stack with Murray. This week, Christian Kirk is the most interesting name of the receiving core. Kirk was dealing with an ankle injury that sidelined him for three weeks earlier in the season but now that he is healthy, he has the best matchup thus far.

STREAMING DEFENSES: Week 10

Helmet_Baltimore_Ravens_1

The Ravens head to Cincinnati coming off a big win against the Patriots. Cincinnati will be starting rookie QB Ryan Finley, which makes this a good spot for Baltimore. There will be plenty of sacks and turnovers on the table in this contest.

DFS STACK ATTACK: Week 9

QB_Jameis_Winston_TBB_1

Jameis Winston is undoubtedly a turnover machine, but that doesn’t affect his fantasy scoring. Believe it or not, turnovers are actually a POSITIVE for Winston’s fantasy value. By turning the ball over, it allows Seattle more chances to score which ultimately leads to Tampa having to try and keep up even more.

STREAMING DEFENSES: Week 9

LB Mychal Kendricks PHI

Despite their secondary woes, the Eagles are prime streaming material. They return home after a gritty road win to face Chicago. Philadelphia stops the run extremely well, and they should have no issues doing the same which will leave it to Mitch Trubisky to make plays -- which is always a recipe for disaster.

DFS STACK ATTACK: Week 8

WR A.J. Brown TEN

The Titan’s passing attack offers some great value this Sunday, mostly because of Tampa’s ability to stop the run. Tennessee won’t be able to get the production they want from Derrick Henry, as the Bucs have shut down far more talented backs this season.

DFS STACK ATTACK: Week 7

QB Gardner Minshew JAC

The Legend of Gardner Minshew will look to get back on track this Sunday. The Jags will be traveling to Cincinnati to take on a hopeless Bengals team that can’t stop anyone. Be it by ground or by air, the Bengals simply cannot contain their opponents’ offenses.

STREAMING DEFENSES: Week 7

Defensive End Arik Armstead San Francisco

San Francisco travels to our nation’s capital to take on a struggling Redskins team. Washington has one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL, and has allowed 18 sacks on the season. Nick Bosa and company will have no issues getting to Case Keenum, who is always live for a few horrific turnovers.

STREAMING DEFENSES: Week 4

Helmet_Baltimore_Ravens_1

Check your waivers for this D/ST, as there’s a chance they were dropped before battling the Chiefs last week. Things get much easier this Sunday, as the Ravens return home to play the Browns in a divisional contest.

STREAMING DEFENSES: Week 3

LB Wesley Woodyard TEN

Thursday night games tend to be much lower scoring than weekend match ups. Add in a rookie quarterback with a limited offense, and the Titans have a recipe for fantasy success. Gardner Minshew fumbled several times in his last appearance and the shaky play should continue in this divisional match up.

DFS: Bargain Bin – Week 2

RB_Gio_Bernard_CIN_1

Figuring out which low priced players offer both value and upside separates the sharks from the chum in DFS. Everyone knows who the stars are, and paying up for those guys is necessary to have a solid core to your lineup. But every week, there are players at the lower rungs of salary pricing that can be great additions

DFS STACK ATTACK: Week 2

QB_Derek_Carr_OAK_2

This stack is viable in both tournaments and cash games, and is the best value on the slate. Playing all three together will cost $12,800. That amounts to just 25% of the total salary cap, which leaves a lot of flexibility to pay up at other positions.

STREAMING DEFENSES: Week 2

Helmet_Baltimore_Ravens_1

Still listed at only 50% rostered in ESPN leagues, Baltimore is the top option if available on waivers. They are favored by nearly two touchdowns in their home opener. Rookie Kyler Murray is coming to town behind a bad offensive line and pass heavy scheme. Multiple sacks and turnovers are on the table for this defensive unit.

STREAMING DEFENSES: Week 1

LB Darron Lee NYJ

The Jets made some good moves to upgrade their defense this offseason. They drafted a pair of talented defensive linemen, and signed veteran linebacker C.J. Mosley to sure up their run support. This should allow star safety Jamal Adams more freedom in the secondary. Opening up at home against divisional rival Buffalo sets up nicely for this defensive unit.
