THE PROGNOSTICATOR: Division Weekend

RB Aaron Jones and QB Aaron Rodgers Green Bay Packers

I know many that are skeptical of Green Bay but they shouldn't be. Seattle just isn't the same team without Chris Carson and while Russell Wilson is most certainly a dangerous foe, Green Bay will be able to run all day on Seattle which will keep Wilson on the bench, right where he can't do much damage.

THE PROGNOSTICATOR: Wildcard Weekend

RB Jordan Howard PHI

Welcome my fantasy brethren to another edition of The Prognosticator, may it cause you pause. The playoffs are here and are we as excited as ever for what should be an action filled fun run through the NFL post season ...

THE PROGNOSTICATOR: Week 16

QB_Dak_Prescott_DAL_1

Philadelphia at home with a potent passing game that while not as good as Dallas' can still compete. Dallas evens everything up with Dak Prescott, his receivers, and a soft Philadelphia secondary. Expect overtime and expect drama.

THE PROGNOSTICATOR: Week 15

WR Kenny Golladay DET

Detroit have been the walking wounded all year long and this week is no different. You obviously want to play Kenny Golladay since he is the last man standing and wins "Survivor Mo-Town 2019".

THE PROGNOSTICATOR: Week 14

QB Lamar Jackson BAL

Buffalo at home, may just have the horses to get this done but until Lamar Jackson stumbles and falls, ride Baltimore while the riding is good. Two great ground games go at it here; coming down to special teams and quarterback play to determine the outcome.

THE PROGNOSTICATOR: Week 13

Thanksgiving Game Cleveland Browns

It's Battle Royale II but this time it's in Pittsburgh. Cleveland is still reeling from the players they lost in the last fracas and this is going to turn into another very physical game with a lot of penalty flags being thrown. Expect both coaches to fan the flames in an effort to keep their teams motivated.

THE PROGNOSTICATOR: Week 12

RB Phillip Lindsay DEN

The mismatch this day will be when Denver runs the ball as Phillip Lindsay carves through Buffalo with his elusiveness. Be leery of the rest in fantasy as they'll all chip in to some degree but won't stand out this week.

THE PROGNOSTICATOR: Week 11

WR DeVante Parker MIA

Now that Miami is playing football again (a tip of the cap to those players for refusing to fold) this will be a surprisingly difficult game for Buffalo. While most would say Buffalo is the better team, in reality, in Miami, these two teams are evenly matched.

THE PROGNOSTICATOR: Week 10

RB_Ezekiel_Elliott_DAL_2

While I was unflattering toward Dallas last week, I'm changing my tune a little this week as they are home and against Minnesota, both teams will be surprisingly fluid on offense. This is one of the games that you want to take a close look at for your fantasy starters as both teams will run well on the ground and will throw the ball well too.

THE PROGNOSTICATOR: Week 9

Taylon Smith DAL tackles Saquon Barkley NYG

This is what folks aren't understanding about Dallas: they're not that good. They're a team that doesn't play well together but as individuals they excel. It's why they make such great fantasy players, they're all about individual stats and it's also why they lose, because they don't play as a team.

THE PROGNOSTICATOR: Week 8

WR_Robby_Anderson_NYJ_1

The unraveling by the Jets at the hands of New England was well.. telling. Then the news that Robby Anderson is on the block for draft picks and an even deeper rumor that Sam Darnold can be had in deal.. that's not a recipe for success. Now they travel to Jacksonville to try and slow down Leonard Fournette? Good luck with that.

THE PROGNOSTICATOR: Week 7

HC_Bill_Belichick_NEP_1

There is nothing like a Jets game to fire up Bill Belichick. He has a long history with the Jets and there's something extra special in it when he comes out victorious. While New York showed flashes last week against Dallas with Sam Darnold back, the New England Patriots are an entirely different matter.

THE PROGNOSTICATOR: Week 6

QB_Aaron_Rodgers_GBP_1

Fantasy games will be won and lost on Monday night. Expect the Aaron Rodgers we all know to be back as Green Bay throws the ball at will all over Detroit but for the Lions to answer with primarily Kerryon Johnson but Matthew Stafford and his receiving group will be right behind.

THE PROGNOSTICATOR: Week 5

RB Dalvin Cook MIN

The Giants will put a scare into Minnesota here and will play fairly well both in the air and on the ground but it's Minnesota's game to lose behind Dalvin Cook who should slash the Giants for copious gains.

THE PROGNOSTICATOR: Week 4

RB Marlon Mack IND

I think most are onto Indianapolis this week and know that there is a lot more going on here than "folding up the tents and going home" after the Andrew Luck retirement. Those that discounted and discredited the Colts may be in for a little bit of a surprise.

THE PROGNOSTICATOR: Week 3

QB Kyler Murray Oklahoma

Carolina is already in desperation mode for a win and if by some miracle Kyle Allen rallies his team for a win, he may never look back. It was Kyle Allen that beat out Kyler Murray at Texas A&M for the quarterback job before Murray transferred to Oklahoma.

THE PROGNOSTICATOR: Week 2

WR_Julio_Jones_11_ATL_1

Atlanta is at home and an underdog? Say what now? If you want to overreact to Week 1 then sure, that makes sense, but if you understand that Atlanta has one of the very best passing attacks in the league and will be able to throw all over their stadium for chunks of yardage, then you know how silly that line is.

THE PROGNOSTICATOR: Week 1

WR Antonio Brown Oakland Raiders

SATURDAY UPDATE: The Soap Opera has come to a close in Oakland for AB. It seemed like he was starting to say the right things but the Raiders taking away his guaranteed money put an end to his time in Oakland.

THE PROGNOSTICATOR: Week 17

QB Andrew Luck IND

Will Andrew Luck throw a ton and post a big score? Why yes, yes he will. T.Y. Hilton should be used here but there is no hotter team in football right now than the Tennessee Titans. They own the NFL's best win streak at four and there's a reason for that, they're playing good football.

THE PROGNOSTICATOR: Week 16

Lombardi_Trophy_Confetti_1

Have no fear for those that play in Week 17 games, we'll all be here next week too and while we run a lighter schedule though the playoffs, we'll continue to have coverage, projections and all that goes along with that very exciting time of the year.

THE PROGNOSTICATOR: Week 15

RB Saquon Barkley NYG & CB Chidobe Awuzie DAL

And here come the Giants in what will likely be a "too little too late" late-season charge. Saquon Barkley came as advertised, what a special player he'll be. There will be a decent amount of offense in this one from both sides though Barkley will pace the Giants.

THE PROGNOSTICATOR: Week 14

QB Nick Mullens SFO

I realize how silly this may sound but Nick Mullens is coming off a gem of a game against Seattle where he threw for 414 yards and had a 95.3 QB rating. He's been improving each week and with Denver reeling defensively in their secondary due to injury and this game being in San Francisco, it's a very appealing spot for Mullens and Dante Pettis.

THE PROGNOSTICATOR: Week 13

RB_LeSean_McCoy_BUF_2

The lines makers haven't caught up to Buffalo yet and still discredit them as a bad team and while neither one of these teams would be considered good, it's the Bills that are better than many give them credit for.

THE PROGNOSTICATOR: Week 10

QB_Eli_Manning_NYG_1

While the news in New York this week was whether Eli Manning was going to man a clipboard or not, it brought me back to remembering the trap that the Giants are. See, Eli Manning will be started in exactly 0.4% of fantasy lineups this week but he'll throw for over 400 yards and everyone will say that they never saw it coming.

THE PROGNOSTICATOR: Week 9

QB Tom Brady NE

The NFL has been pumping up this game in New England where Aaron Rodgers and company come to play. Fantasy stats of the week come from the Green Bay passing game as they shred the Patriots defense; there's just no way to sugarcoat it.

THE PROGNOSTICATOR: Week 8

QB Deshaun Watson HOU

Don't look now but Houston is on a four game win streak and sit atop the AFC South with a 4-3 record. Perhaps surprisingly, Miami too has a 4-3 record but their tide seems to be turning from in to out. Even though the records match, it's a tale of two teams going in two different directions...

THE PROGNOSTICATOR: Week 7

QB_Eli_Manning_NYG_1

Here it is, that game" has arrived for Eli Manning where he either performs or is asked to take a break, perhaps a long break. See, the matchup is juicy and whomever is playing quarterback against Atlanta should feast. If there is a quarterback that struggles against Atlanta, then that's a problem and Eli either puts up a big total here or he doesn't and if he doesn't, bigger questions need to be asked.

THE PROGNOSTICATOR: Week 6

RB Phillip Lindsay DEN

It's interesting that the Rams seem to have developed an inability to defend against the run when it was one of their strengths coming into the season. It creates opportunity for Phillip Lindsay and while some may shy away from a matchup against the Rams defense, Lindsay makes for a sneaky start.
