DFS VALUE PLAYS: Wild Card Weekend

QB_Russell_Wilson_SEA_1

Wilson is 8-4 in the playoffs and has won every first round game he has ever played. Wilson has played well on the road this season throwing 18 touchdowns to just 4 interceptions. If everyone is expecting Ezekiel Elliott to have a big fantasy day then Wilson will be needed to throw more.

DFS GEMS: Week 17

RB Aaron Jones and QB Aaron Rodgers Green Bay Packers

Rodgers started last week with nothing to gain out of pure leadership. That is the kind of guy you want playing for you, fantasy or not! He took that character opportunity and turned it into a ridiculous 45.9 fantasy points as Green Bay snuck past the New York Jets.

DFS VALUE: Week 16

RB Christian McCaffrey CAR

Even though the Falcons defense hasn’t been good this season, it would be easy for them to focus on stopping McCaffrey and forcing the Panthers to try and beat them with their other receivers.

DFS GEMS: Week 16

QB_Dak_Prescott_DAL_3

Tampa Bay is averaging 27.4 points per game (DK) on the season and has given up at least one touchdown to enemy passers in every single contest this year. Dak Prescott had a down week at Indianapolis in Week 15 but had been playing fine football in the previous weeks, spurned by the arrival of Amari Cooper.

DFS VALUE PLAYS: Week 15

RB_Kenneth_Dixon_BAL_1

Coach Harbaugh indicated that Ken Dixon will get more opportunity this week and Gus Edwards has been slowed by an ankle injury. If he is splitting the touches with Edwards, it makes Dixon the better play as he is $900 cheaper on DraftKings.

DFS GEMS: Week 15

WR_DeAndre_Hopkins_HOU_1

Hopkins is an obviously elite talent who dominates his teams’ target share, owning nearly 49% of all wide receiver targets among Texans wideouts. The game doesn’t have an impressive over/under at 41.5 but the Jets are best attacked via the wideouts so the offense should continue to run through Hopkins this week.

DFS VALUE PLAYS: Week 14

TE_Rob_Gronkowski_NEP_2

It is still strange to see Gronkowski priced in the $5K range for a fifth consecutive week but outside of Week 1 and Week 12 we haven’t seen much of the old Gronkowski. In fact it is crazy that a team such as the 9-3 New England Patriots doesn’t have any standout fantasy players we consider for daily DFS on a weekly basis.

DFS GEMS: Week 14

QB_Carson_Wentz_PHI_1

The idea this week is to save a bit of budget so we can spend it elsewhere and Wentz not only gives us a solid spot to save this week but he also might get us a quarterback with moderate ownership in GPP’s.

STREAMING DEFENSES: Week 13

LB Darius Leonard tackles RB Joe Mixon

The only player who has a chance to do any damage versus the Colts is T.J. Yeldon who has done a good job in filling in for Fournette this year. If the Colts shut him down this game has shutout written all over it.

DFS GEMS: Week 13

RB Kareem Hunt, Kansas City Chiefs

You pretty much need a piece of the Kansas City offense every week if you want to secure your spot atop the GPP landscape. At $7,800 (DK) Kareem Hunt makes the most sense this week. Kansas City is set to massacre reeling Oakland and there will be plenty of work for Hunt in this contest.

DFS GEMS: Week 12

WR_Julio_Jones_ATL_1

The Atlanta at New Orleans tilt will have massive fantasy implications in Week 12 boasting the weeks highest over/under which is now up to 60... the fact that the Saints are 13 point favorites only implies a positive game script for Julio Jones and company.

THE GRIND: DFS Week 12

QB Baker Mayfield CLE

Taking the upside into consideration along with the fact that Baker Mayfield is playing better football – throwing multiple touchdowns in four straight outings – leads me to believe he is the best value at quarterback on the slate.

DFS VALUE PLAYS: Week 11

RB_Mark_Ingram_NOS_1

Philadelphia overall this season has played the run well but over the last few weeks it has been gashed by Saquon Barkley and Ezekiel Elliott. The Philadelphia pass defense has not played well, which will open up running lanes for New Orleans.

DFS GEMS: Week 11

Taylon Smith DAL tackles Saquon Barkley NYG

Barkley is another guy we’ll need to spend up for if we want him, and this week against Tampa Bay, you’ll probably want him in a few lineups! Tampa Bay ranks in the Bottom 10 against running backs this season and has given up multiple touchdowns to the position in 4-of-9 contests this season.

DFS VALUE PLAYS: Week 10

QB Andrew Luck IND

Andrew Luck has thrown for 22 or more fantasy points in his last five games suggesting that his price is too cheap for his production. The matchup is tough but the Jaguars can be thrown on as just last game, the Eagles threw for 286 yards and three scores.

THE GRIND: DFS Week 10

QB_Russell_Wilson_SEA_1

The Seahawks find themselves as double-digit dogs on the road in LA, but that doesn't mean it won't be a fantasy bonanza when these two teams meet. Wilson has thrown multiple touchdowns in all but one game this season.

DFS GEMS: Week 10

TE_Greg_Olsen_CAR_1

Back-to-back double-digit fantasy outings and a matchup against a Bottom 5 team against opposing tight ends is typically a recipe for success. When you consider the dearth of viable tight end options thus far this season, that pushes Greg Olsen into must-start territory.

THE LOWDOWN: Week 9

QB_Cam_Newton_CAR_1

Let's admit it: Fitzpatrick should've never have been benched for Jameis Winston... Fitzpatrick figures to be one of the better performing field generals this week, but one of the few guys who is a stronger play this week is Cam Newton.

NEW AGE RANKINGS: Week 9

RB Marlon Mack IND

He missed a couple of games due to injury, but Colts RB Marlon Mack currently shakes out as a RB1 according to the NAR, ahead of guys like Adrian Peterson, David Johnson and Phillip Lindsay. Mack has been good enough to reign in the number of throws that Andrew Luck has to attempt every game.

DFS VALUE PLAYS: Week 9

WR Courtland Sutton WR

The trade of Demaryius Thomas to the Texans means Courtland Sutton is ready to take over his role. Thomas was averaging 7 targets a game and Sutton already saw 4.6 targets a game and will split the vacated targets with Emmanuel Sanders. The match-up this week is average but the value should be there. Expect high ownership.

THE GRIND: DFS Week 9

TE O.J. Howard TB

I am not going to stop playing O.J. Howard until they raise his price. It’s ridiculous. I can’t understand what the algorithm is telling the Draft Kings tech people to keep his cost suppressed, but I rather enjoy it.

DFS GEMS: Week 9

QB Kirk Cousins MIN

Another week, another great matchup for Kirk Cousins. He’s playing at a Top 5 level in season-long fantasy and hasn’t posted less than 17.5 DraftKings points since the Week 3 debacle against Buffalo. With a floor that safe and sky-high ceiling, Cousins makes a ton of sense coming in just below the top tier of quarterback pricing this week.

STREAMING DEFENSES: Week 8

LB Kyle Van Noy NEP

Let's get one thing clear the Patriots are not a great defense, they may not even be that good of a defense. The Bills are just awful on all sides of the ball. They may very well be the worst team in the NFL and an all time worst offense. Add to that the only player you worry about LeSean McCoy is in the concussion protocol and even when healthy has looked old and slow.

DFS VALUE PLAYS: Week 8

RB Adrian Peterson WAS

The New York Giants have decided to start the rebuilding process by trading away Eli Apple and Damon Harris, who was a Top-5 run-stopper. They also will be without Alec Ogleltree at linebacker. That’s three missing pieces for a run defense that already ranks 20th in run defense entering this game, allowing 186 rushing yards per game with six touchdowns yielded this season.

DFS GEMS: Week 8

RB Kareem Hunt, Kansas City Chiefs

Hunt was sensational last week and I want to thank him for giving me a Top 4 cash in a Week 7 GPP! This week presents another great opportunity for success as the Broncos and their 8th friendliest defense for opposing running backs visit Arrowhead Stadium. The Chiefs could score from any angle, at any point, so there is some risk that Hunt might get left out of the scoring party simply by bad luck.

DFS VALUE PLAYS: Week 7

QB_Cam_Newton_CAR_1

Cam Newton hasn’t been below 18 DraftKings points all season and has a ceiling of at least 35 points. The match-up against Philadelphia is a good one as Carolina has allowed 290 passing yards per game with eight passing touchdowns given up this season. The Philadelphia secondary has under-performed this season and Newton has a good opportunity to take advantage.

DFS GEMS: Week 7

QB Mitchell Trubisky CHI

New England is currently allowing an average of 19.5 points per game to opposing passers, good for 10th friendliest in the league. This looks like a good spot for Mitch Trubisky to keep building on his success.

THE LOWDOWN: Week 6

QB_Eli_Manning_Tony_Romo_NFL_1

Other than Saquon Barkley, it seemed as if the entire team gave up after its first series. No fire, no hustle... just going through the motions. I get that Eli Manning is old and is less mobile than the Statue of Liberty; but can we at least try to buy him some time in the pocket?

DFS VALUE PLAYS: Week 6

RB Chris Carson SEA

Last week Chris Carson ran the ball 19 times and caught one pass. The previous week he carried the ball 32 times and caught two passes. If he’s going to get that kind of work at this price point, he has to be considered a core value play.

DFS GEMS: Week 6 – Hurricane Edition

RB Marshawn Lynch OAK

If you are looking for a solid back this week, look no further than Lynch. He isn’t getting traditional workhorse numbers but he is absolutely dominating red zone looks with 19 on the year so far. To put it in perspective that is 34% of the team total not including the quarterback position and more than all of the wide receivers combined.

STREAMING DEFENSES: Week 5

Helmet_Buffalo_Bills_1

Obviously I am not a fan of the Buffalo offense but its defense isn’t that bad. Two weeks ago the defense shut down Minnesota and if it can do that to Minnesota it can do it against Tennessee. Marcus Mariota hasn’t taken that next step we all expected him to make and Buffalo can exploit that.
