LANDING SPOT: Kirk Cousins

Kirk Cousins balked at the latest contract offer by Washington. In a rather passive aggressive manner through a public tweet sent by Washington’s brain trust clearly placing the blame on Cousins for not making a “long term” deal happen. This is ...

ART OF THE DEAL: Draft Edition

The most exciting portion of the off-season is nearly upon us, and if you’re in dynasty leagues you may have experienced it already: The Draft! Not every league trades and even in those that do, there are maybe a handful ...

DYNASTY IMPACT: Rookie Running Backs

RB Kareem Hunt Kansas City Chiefs

Hunt may have competition with Spencer Ware and Charcandrick West on the roster but many don’t expect him to be sitting on the sideline for long. This will be a running back by committee with none of the three posting huge numbers for the season. Hunt’s value comes in deeper leagues with more potential down the line instead of the 2017 season.

FANTASY BUSTS: First Six Rounds

RB Leonard Fournette Jacsonville Jaguars

He will be the lead dog in the backfield. But with a below average offensive line and others to take work away, you may want to look elsewhere in the second round. Dez Bryant is going one pick after him…which is just ludicrous.

Now that we’ve covered some basic trade types and how to handle them, it’s time to focus on the types of owners you’re likely to run into and the tactics that they will use to close a deal. They will ...

DYNASTY: The Josh Gordon Dilemma

The 2013 fantasy season was one of my more memorable seasons I can recall. It was the year my brother invited me to my current 16-team dynasty league. For anyone who has not done a dynasty league I strongly suggest giving it ...

In dynasty leagues a player who has been a starter for years, possibly an anchor of your team, is just flat out old, and you want to get something for him before he signs his retirement papers *cough* Frank Gore and Larry Fitzgerald *cough*. If there’s no question in your mind that you don’t want this person taking up roster space it’s time to attempt the jettison.

Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger Pittsburgh Steelers

While Ben Roethlisberger is a great quarterback to have, his “almost retirement” throws some red flags up for investing in a dynasty quarterback. The point of a dynasty is to have players with longevity. If you can move Roethlisberger to get a younger quarterback with more upside, I suggest that you do.

Tight End Hunter Henry San Diego Chargers

Drafting running backs and wide receivers is tough. Necessary, but tough. There’s a whole slew of strategy in drafting certain running backs and wide receivers early in the draft. Either you get who you want, or scramble to find someone ...

FANTASY BUSTS: Rounds 1 – 3

I would much rather have Michael Crabtree at his current average draft position (Round 4, Pick 10). I still love Amari Cooper in dynasty formats, but you’re overpaying for a WR2 (and an inconsistent one, at that) in the second round in redraft leagues this year.

FIVE UP FIVE DOWN: Quarterbacks

Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger Pittsburgh Steelers

The retirement talk this off season was a very real conversation Big Ben was having. Roethlisberger takes a beating every year and just keeps on going. This is one of his best qualities from a fantasy stand point. It also appears to be finally sneaking up on him.

How in the world is last year’s TE2 going so late!? Blasphemy! The reindeer lead all tight ends in targets last year with a whopping 132. Sam Bradford showed a willingness to get Rudolph the ball all year, and he ended the season with 83 catches, 840 yards and seven touchdowns. I think he prances along that reception total, but with room for more in the yards and the touchdown department..

FANTASY SLEEPERS: Way Too Early Edition

You’re probably thinking about how awful he was last year, right? He only threw 18 touchdowns on the entire year. How awful! The key here is that he did throw for 4,206 yards last season, and that’s with the injuries to Giovani Bernard, Tyler Eifert, and A.J. Green. If those three can stay healthy (don’t forget about the valuable additions of John Ross and Joe Mixon) look for Dalton’s touchdown total to jump.

MOCK DRAFT: First Post-Draft Mock

I was just happy the Cleveland Browns didn’t mess up the first overall pick. Well done, Cleveland! I know I’m not alone when I say this, but once the NFL draft is over, I just want to do a mock draft. It’s always interesting to see what the draft has done to Average Draft Positions (ADPs). Honestly, I can’t wait another second...

ROOKIE CLASS: Round 1 Fantasy Outlook

RB Leonard Fournette Jacsonville Jaguars

He is probably going to be the 1st rookie off the board in all formats. With all the pieces the Jaguars have added this year, LSU product Leonard Fournette should finish as an RB1 in fantasy somewhere in the Top 15 across all league formats. With the Jaguars seemingly dedicated to the run this year, it will be Fournette that will get those reps..

NFL DRAFT: AFC Report Card

The Steelers crushed the draft this year and got quality prospects at almost every selection in the draft. First of all, T.J. Watt is the poster child for Steeler toughness and edge rusher presence. He and Bud Dupree will be a 1-2 punch for a quite some time in Pittsburgh. JuJu Smith-Schuster is the possession receiver the Steelers needed to go with explosive Antonio Brown...
