FLEX APPEAL: Week 15

RB Elijah McGuire NYJ

As of this writing, Isaiah Crowell looks like a long-shot to play in Week 15. Enter McGuire, who returned to practice on Wednesday and looks like he’ll get the start for the Jets this week.

CORNER LOCKDOWN: Week 15

WR Amari Cooper DAL & CB Josh Norman WAS

Amari Cooper has been putting up video game numbers and is getting the ball early and often. He’s a must start the rest of the way and is playing the type of football that could carry fantasy owners to their championship. He gets the Colts next, so enjoy the ride that Cooper is on right now.

THE GREY REPORT: Week 15

RB Aaron Jones and QB Aaron Rodgers Green Bay Packers

Can Jared Goff and the Los Angeles Rams bounce back after an abysmal Week 14 performance? Can the Chicago defense avoid a letdown and keep Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay offense in check? David Grey will breakdown all the matchups in this week’s Grey Report, because “Not all matchups are black and white.”

THE DIVE: Week 15 “Expect the Unexpected!”

CB Desmond Trufant ATL and WR Robert Woods LAR

Robert Woods has been targeted at least five times and gained at least 70 receiving yards in every game except Week 1. The Rams should return to offensive domination when they welcome Philadelphia, who have surrendered the second-most fantasy points to wide receivers, and was just recently torched by Amari Cooper.

START/BENCH: Week 15

WR_Philip_Rivers_SDC_1

Fantasy owners can’t be blamed for a little reluctance with Rivers given the Chargers’ long history of underperforming in big games. But no team in the NFL has allowed more fantasy points to quarterbacks this year than Kansas City, who Rivers torched for 424 yards and three touchdowns back in Week 1.

GRINDERS & GAMBLES: Week 15

QB_Derek_Carr_OAK_1

“Grinders and Gambles” is duct tape for teams in need of help. This list is for deeper leagues or for those in shallower leagues who are picking up players in free agency after waivers have run. Grinders are the guys ...

THE FIRE SALE: Week 15

QB_Derek_Carr_OAK_3

Owners still alive in fantasy playoffs likely aren't scrambling for a quarterback. However, if you play in a two-quarterback or SuperFlex league, Carr is worth a look this week. In his last two games, Carr has thrown for 607 yards with five touchdowns and no interceptions. He's topped 20 points both times in most scoring systems.

THE LOWDOWN: Week 14

Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger Pittsburgh Steelers

Oakland has given up the greatest number of fantasy points to opposing tight ends, so this might be one of those weeks where Ben Roethlisberger looks for Vance McDonald a bit more than usual.

THE PROGNOSTICATOR: Week 14

QB Nick Mullens SFO

I realize how silly this may sound but Nick Mullens is coming off a gem of a game against Seattle where he threw for 414 yards and had a 95.3 QB rating. He's been improving each week and with Denver reeling defensively in their secondary due to injury and this game being in San Francisco, it's a very appealing spot for Mullens and Dante Pettis.

IDP STUDS AND DUDS: Week 14 IDP Start/Sit

LB Darron Lee NYJ

Darron Lee has been an inconsistent IDP option this year, and the fact that less than half of his tackles in Week 10 were solos may give some IDP owners pause. This one’s in Buffalo against a team that leads the NFL in fantasy points allowed to linebackers, in from of arguably the most generous stat crew in the league.

RED ZONE TARGET ANALYSIS: Week 14

WR_Doug_Baldwin_SEA_1

Bill Parcells would say that “water always returns to its level“ whenever a player got off to a hot or slow start to the year. This is the case for Doug Baldwin. Over the last few weeks he has started to trend closer to what we expected from him at the beginning of the season.

BOLD PREDICTIONS: Week 14

RB Dalvin Cook MIN

In the four games since he’s returned from the world’s most nagging hamstring injury, Dalvin Cook has caught at least three passes in every game and is averaging 4.5 receptions per game. Expect Cook (who is Minnesota’s primary pass-catching back) to have his best fantasy performance of the season.

FLEX APPEAL: Week 14

RB Peyton Barber TBB

Peyton Barber received 16 carries in week 13 against Carolina, and I expect him to see another 15-20 carries this week. This is an "attackable" matchup for Jameis Winston to get the ball near the goal line, which is where Barber excels.

CORNER LOCKDOWN: Week 14

RB Aaron Jones and QB Aaron Rodgers Green Bay Packers

With Green Bay in disarray, Aaron Jones has been one of the only bright spots for the team. He’s found pay-dirt in five of the last six games and is proving to be a solid pass catcher.

THE GREY REPORT: Week 14

QB Andrew Luck IND

Can Andrew Luck and Indianapolis bounce back from being shutout by Jacksonville? David Grey will break down all the matchups in this week’s Grey Report, because “Not all matchups are black and white.”

START/BENCH: Week 14

QB Baker Mayfield CLE

That willingness and ability to shake off a bad play/half/game is going to serve Mayfield well over his NFL career. It could also serve fantasy owners well in Week 14, when everyone’s favorite spot-starter is back at home playing against a reeling Carolina team that lost four straight and risen all the way to sixth in fantasy points per game allowed to quarterbacks.

LIKE/DISLIKE: Week 14

RB Christian McCaffrey CAR

McCaffrey leads all running backs in receptions (80), receiving yards (663), is tied for second in receiving touchdowns (6) and has hauled in at least five receptions in all but one game this season. He is wreaking havoc on opposing defenses on a weekly basis and is primed to continue his incredible pace in Week 14 against a horrendous Cleveland defense.

THE LOWDOWN: Week 13

QB Andrew Luck IND

Andrew Luck kept his impressive streak of tossing at least three TDs in a game going last week. The streak now stands at eight games, during which Luck has tallied 27 TDs against just eight INTs...

STREAMING DEFENSES: Week 13

LB Darius Leonard tackles RB Joe Mixon

The only player who has a chance to do any damage versus the Colts is T.J. Yeldon who has done a good job in filling in for Fournette this year. If the Colts shut him down this game has shutout written all over it.

THE PROGNOSTICATOR: Week 13

RB_LeSean_McCoy_BUF_2

The lines makers haven't caught up to Buffalo yet and still discredit them as a bad team and while neither one of these teams would be considered good, it's the Bills that are better than many give them credit for.

IDP STUDS AND DUDS: Week 13 IDP Start/Sit

DL_Jurrell_Casey_TEN_1

Last week, Jurrell Casey kicked off an outstanding string of late-season matchups with five tackles and a sack against Houston. That string keeps rolling right along this week against a Jets team that has allowed 26 sacks and the fourth-most fantasy points to defensive linemen this season.

FLEX APPEAL: Week 13

RB Frank Gore MIA

Frank Gore is averaging 17 touches per game the past three weeks, which is plenty to work with in the fantasy football world. Kenyan Drake is also banged up (again …), so keep an eye on that. I like Gore whether or not Drake plays in this contest.

THE GREY REPORT: Week 13

WR Amari Cooper DAL & CB Josh Norman WAS

Can Amari Cooper and Dallas stay hot against the improving New Orleans defense? Will Lamar Jackson continue to improve and give the Atlanta defense fits? David Grey will breakdown the matchups in this week’s “Grey Report” because “not all matchups are black and white.”

RED ZONE TARGET ANALYSIS: Week 13

WR Josh Reynolds LAR

Josh Reynolds leads the league in red zone targets over the last three weeks. He has averaged three opportunities and a touchdown per week. He took over for Cooper Kupp when Kupp went on Injured Reserve earlier in the year and the offense hasn’t missed a beat.

START/BENCH: Week 13

RB Doug Martin OAK & LB Shaquil Barrett DEN

Now, given how the 2018 season has gone for Oakland, an endorsement from Gruden might seem like the kiss of death. But Martin’s 14 touches in last week’s loss to Balitmore were easily the most among Oakland tailbacks,
