NEW AGE RANKINGS: Week 15

QB_Matt_Ryan_ATL_1

Matt Ryan has been having a really solid season thus far without as much hype as guys like Drew Brees and Patrick Mahomes, but he's one of three QBs with 4,000+ yards so far (along with Mahomes and Roethlisberger) and his 28 TDs are tied for sixth in the league.

CORNER LOCKDOWN: Week 15

WR Amari Cooper DAL & CB Josh Norman WAS

Amari Cooper has been putting up video game numbers and is getting the ball early and often. He’s a must start the rest of the way and is playing the type of football that could carry fantasy owners to their championship. He gets the Colts next, so enjoy the ride that Cooper is on right now.

THE LOWDOWN: Week 14

Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger Pittsburgh Steelers

Oakland has given up the greatest number of fantasy points to opposing tight ends, so this might be one of those weeks where Ben Roethlisberger looks for Vance McDonald a bit more than usual.

CORNER LOCKDOWN: Week 14

RB Aaron Jones and QB Aaron Rodgers Green Bay Packers

With Green Bay in disarray, Aaron Jones has been one of the only bright spots for the team. He’s found pay-dirt in five of the last six games and is proving to be a solid pass catcher.

THE LOWDOWN: Week 13

QB Andrew Luck IND

Andrew Luck kept his impressive streak of tossing at least three TDs in a game going last week. The streak now stands at eight games, during which Luck has tallied 27 TDs against just eight INTs...

CORNER LOCKDOWN: Week 13

RB Austin Ekeler LAC

With news that Melvin Gordon is out for a few weeks with a knee injury, Ekeler is now an elite RB1 for fantasy owners. He possesses both running and receiving skills and will be a lock for 15-20 touches while Gordon is out.

NEW AGE RANKINGS: Week 11

TE_Jack_Doyle_IND_1

I’m sure 95 percent of the owners out there figured that Jack Doyle would’ve been the tight end to have in Indianapolis, but the team forgot it wasn’t Andrew Luck who had the chemistry with Doyle – it was Jacoby Brissett.

CORNER LOCKDOWN: Week 11

RB Dion Lewis TEN

Lewis is clearly the number one running back for the Titans and has a great matchup in Week 11 against the Colts. Derrick Henry still sees a lot of the goal line work, but Lewis out touches him nearly 2-1 every week. Look for Lewis to have a solid game both rushing and catching the ball..

THE LOWDOWN: Week 10

John_Georgopoulos

Welcome to The Lowdown for Week  10. This is my little corner of the fantasy football universe — feel free to pull up a chair and stay a while! For Whom the Bell Tolls Following the Steelers’ big win over ...

NEW AGE RANKINGS: Week 10

RB James White NE

There are a few people I know who still view James White as a third-down back; those people are idiots. White has piled up 766 rushing and receiving yards, combined with 61 receptions and 10 total TDs... that's some pretty good, RB1 type of production.

CORNER LOCKDOWN: Week 10

WR Tyler Boyd CIN

Boyd is in line for a huge day with A.J. Green on the shelf for a few weeks. He is the clear cut number one option in Week 10 for the Bengals and couldn’t have a better matchup.

THE LOWDOWN: Week 9

QB_Cam_Newton_CAR_1

Let's admit it: Fitzpatrick should've never have been benched for Jameis Winston... Fitzpatrick figures to be one of the better performing field generals this week, but one of the few guys who is a stronger play this week is Cam Newton.

NEW AGE RANKINGS: Week 9

RB Marlon Mack IND

He missed a couple of games due to injury, but Colts RB Marlon Mack currently shakes out as a RB1 according to the NAR, ahead of guys like Adrian Peterson, David Johnson and Phillip Lindsay. Mack has been good enough to reign in the number of throws that Andrew Luck has to attempt every game.

CORNER LOCKDOWN: Week 9

RB Phillip Lindsay DEN

Royce Freeman looks like he’s on the wrong side of questionable again this week so Lindsay should see another 20 plus touches against Houston. In this day in age 20 touches out of your running back is sacred, so throw him out there as a high-end RB2 in Week 9, expecting 100-yards and a score again.

NEW AGE RANKINGS: Week 8

RB Kareem Hunt, Kansas City Chiefs

Kareem Hunt is starting to ball the last couple of weeks: as a matter of fact, he’s moved up five spots – from #11 to #6 – in just one week. If you’re playing Kansas City, I’m sure every team looks to take away the pass and risk having Hunt beat them ... which means Hunt should be seeing a lot of open space on Sundays for the remainder of the season.

CORNER LOCKDOWN: Week 8

WR Josh Gordon & QB Tom Brady NE

Josh Gordon has been improving each week with the Patriots as his role continues to grow. If he keeps staying out of trouble and gains the trust of Tom Brady then he could be a scary player for the next few years. Gordon had his first 100-yard receiving game for the Pats last week and played 95% of the snaps.

NEW AGE RANKINGS: Week 7

RB Sony Michel NEP

Keep an eye on first-rounder Sony Michel. In the last three games, Michel has rolled up 316 rushing yards and punched in four touchdowns. While backfield mate James White is nine spots ahead of him, I have a feeling that Michel’s role will continue to increase as the season wears on ...

CORNER LOCKDOWN: Week 7

RB Kerryon Johnson DET

Coming off the bye week, Kerryon Johnson is primed to have a good game. He’s clearly been the best running back for the Lions thus far and is starting to get more work. He’s averaging 5.7 yards per carry on the season and gets a Miami defense in Week 7 that is allowing just under 120 rushing yards per game.

THE LOWDOWN: Week 6

QB_Eli_Manning_Tony_Romo_NFL_1

Other than Saquon Barkley, it seemed as if the entire team gave up after its first series. No fire, no hustle... just going through the motions. I get that Eli Manning is old and is less mobile than the Statue of Liberty; but can we at least try to buy him some time in the pocket?

CORNER LOCKDOWN: Week 6

RB Sony Michel NEP

Sony Michel has a mouth-watering matchup this week at home against Kansas City. Though this game projects to be a shootout, the Chiefs defense has allowed the 2nd most fantasy points to opposing running backs this season. Expect a third straight big effort from Michel in Week 6.

THE LOWDOWN: Week 5

QB_Carson_Wentz_PHI_1

Carson Wentz is playing himself back into Top 10 levels, and since the Vikings seem to have forgotten how to play defense, there's good reason to have him in the top spot this week...

NEW AGE RANKINGS: Week 5

TE_Zach_Ertz_PHI_1

Zach Ertz is looking like he’s the best tight end in the NFL right now; while he’s second in points per reception (PPR) scoring, he’s much more consistent than Travis Kelce, Jared Cook and George Kittle ...

CORNER LOCKDOWN: Week 5

RB_Kenyan_Drake_MIA_1

Many people, including myself, thought Drake would be one of the fantasy breakout players of 2018. He’s been anything but that and has barely received any touches the last two weeks. Over that span, Drake has run the ball just eight times. Yes I said eight, for a total of six yards.

NEW AGE RANKINGS: Week 4

WR_Will_Fuller_V_HOU_1

Will Fuller is a great deep threat who complements Hopkins perfectly and seems to be completely in tune with Watson; his main flaw, obviously, is his inability to stay healthy. His ceiling is so high, however, that I think he's worth a roster spot on your squad.

CORNER LOCKDOWN: Week 4

WR Allen Robinson CHI

Allen Robinson has been the no. 1 option in the passing game for the Bears, getting a healthy 28 targets over three games so far. He has yet to find the end zone, but has put up at least 50 yards in each game with at least seven targets. It’s just a matter of time before he finds pay dirt...

CORNER LOCKDOWN: Week 3

WR_Quincy_Enunwa_NYJ_1

Enunwa has passed Robby Anderson as the top receiving option for the Jets. He’s healthy and clearly the favorite target for rookie quarterback Sam Darnold. He’s had 21 targets through two weeks and should continue to see double-digit targets tonight at Cleveland.

THE PROGNOSTICATOR: Week 2

RB_LeSean_McCoy_BUF_2

I may be the last writer left standing that is still beating the LeSean McCoy drum but here I am. If the Bills were smart, they'd run and pass to McCoy a whole lot, no matter what the game situation says. If they're not so smart, like last week, they'll actually try and win the game.

CORNER LOCKDOWN: Week 2

RB James White NE

It seems as if nearly every Patriots running back is banged up already so James White’s usage should go up in Week 2. In a tough matchup at Jacksonville, expect New England to check down to White early and often because of the defensive pressure.

THE PROGNOSTICATOR: Week 1

QB_Matthew_Stafford_DET_1

I have heard some say that you can point to this game if you're looking for why the NFL's TV ratings are down. Why televise the Jets at the Lions in front of a national audience? Oddly, what's going to happen here is a very entertaining game of football for fans of the game.

CORNER LOCKDOWN: Week 1

RB James Conner PIT

Well it looks like Le’Veon Bell’s holdout is going to run into the start of the season as he has yet to report to the team. This opens the door for James Conner to have a full workload in Week 1. The team has been very impressed with the second-year running back all preseason..

NFL Draft: 1st Round Scenarios

RB Saquon Barkley Penn St

There is no way that Saquon Barkley drops below #7 overall to the Buccaneers who have been needing a reliable running back for the past few years. If he is not off the board by the seventh pick, he'll be packing his bags for Tampa.
