CONSISTENCY PLUS: Week 6

We’ve got some movers and shakers in this week’s Consistency Plus ratings, so I’ll set aside my usual silly banter and get right to the good part… the Consistency Plus part.

Quarterbacks

Think Tom Brady is the best quarterback in the league this season? The metrics would suggest otherwise; Alex Smith has outperformed Brady thus far, producing a higher per game scoring average and being nearly twice as consistent in doing so. How about rookie quarterback Deshaun Watson? Getting it done with both his arm and his legs, Watson has been more effective than any of his fantasy owners could have hoped for.

Running Backs

The big-time performance in Week 5 by Leonard Fournette, including his gift 90-yard touchdown run as the Jags were trying to run out the clock, shoots him up to #3 in the RB rankings. Interestingly, Packers teammates Aaron Jones and Ty Montgomery have almost identical Consistency Plus scores– which provides no help to owners trying to decide which of the two they should start in any given week.
