I think the Dallas Cowboys are going to be more competitive with Weeden than people think. They have enough solid running backs and the best offensive line in the league to make Weeden a serviceable player. In a game that’s going to be an offensive slugfest, I like Weeden to hit all the easy throws and slightly outscore opposing QB Matt Ryan.
Jonathan Stewart will top 150 total yards
Stewart has gotten off to a slow start and is a little banged up, but there’s no doubt he is the bellcow for the Carolina Panthers. He’s getting the touches, it’s just a matter of time before he explodes for a big game. That explosion will take place in Week 3 with an appetizing match up against a New Orleans team that is struggling on both sides of the ball. Stewart should see at least 20 touches, go over 150 total yards and score his first touchdown of 2015. Get him in your lineup!
Blake Bortles will throw for more than 350 yards
Overall, it should be a tough game for Jacksonville as New England is fully playing the part as defending champs. With that said, the New England defense has allowed some points in 2015, so Bortles should put up some solid numbers this week like Tyrod Taylor and Ben Roethlisberger did in weeks past. It’s almost a certainty that Jacksonville will be playing from behind the entire game so expect Bortles to throw at least 40 passes on Sunday. He may have a turnover or two, but I expect him to throw a few touchdowns en route to 350 yards passing.
