DAILY BLITZ: DraftKings Week 13

Each week this season in the Daily Blitz, fantasy analyst Nick Pagliuca will list what players he is targeting at each position. He will also mention players that should be avoided. Price and projected stats will be considered into analysis. The key to daily fantasy is fitting players into your lineup based on price/production.

Week 13 will be focusing on DraftKings.

Favorite Play of the Week:

Julio Jones ($8,700) has been quiet in his last two home games. I think he has a big game with over 20+ points at home against the Chiefs.

Best Values of the Week:

Colin Kaepernick ($6,100) has been on a tear of late, especially last week when he ran for over 100 yards. His ownership should continue to go up, but he is a safe play with plenty of upside. Eli Manning ($5,900) is a consistent safe option with upside. He has averaged about 20 fantasy points per game over his last 4 games.

Rashad Jennings ($4,800) at Pittsburgh is a decent play in a game that should feature some points. The Steelers are 29th in the league against opposing fantasy RBs. LeGarrette Blount ($5,500) has not scored a TD in the last two weeks, but has a high ceiling at home against the Rams. Theo Riddick ($5,800) is in the dome at the Saints where there should be plenty of scoring. James Starks ($4,400) gets a home matchup against the Texans and can provide salary relief.

Eli Manning apologized in public this week for not targeting Sterling Shepard ($4,900) in the Browns game. Expect Shepard to get his fair share of targets this week. Tyreek Hill ($4,600) should be a popular play this week, especially after he starred in primetime. Kenny Britt ($5,000) is another top value against the Patriots. The Rams should be forced to throw as you would expect the Patriots to key in on shutting down Todd Gurley.

Travis Kelce ($4,700) has been a reliable weapon for Alex Smith with Jeremy Maclin sidelined. The Falcons are 27th in the league against opposing fantasy TEs.

Boom or Bust of the Week

Willie Snead ($5,100) is a high risk, high reward player this week against the Lions. Look at Brandin Cooks who was not even targeted last week. Drew Brees hits the open man so if it happens to be Snead this week, he could put up big numbers in a shootout.

Speaking Defensively

The Packers D/ST ($2,900) face the Texans at home. Hopefully they can get healthier and are a decent play at this price. The Ravens D/ST ($3,000) would be my other option at home against the Dolphins, but I believe that the Packers have more upside. If you can spend up, the Broncos D/ST is the slam dunk #1 play of the week at the Jaguars.

Contrarian Stack: I think the Chiefs could be an under the radar stack. Alex Smith, Spencer Ware, Tyreek Hill, and Travis Kelce. Ware is getting the touches and he is due for a big game. None of the Chiefs are expensive this week and you can fit in a few studs with this mix of players.

Gambling: The Thanksgiving Dallas-Pittsburgh teaser was a hit. Let’s try another play for Week 13.

6 point teaser: Seattle –½ / Packers –½

Good luck to all!
