DAILY BLITZ: Week 16 (DraftKings)

Each week this season in the Daily Blitz, fantasy analyst Nick Pagliuca will list what players he is targeting at each position. He will also mention players that should be avoided. Price and projected stats will be considered into analysis. The key to daily fantasy is fitting players into your lineup based on price/production.

Week 16 will be focusing on DraftKings.

Favorite Play of the Week:

I am going to go with Zeke this week mainly due to his price. The #1 rusher in the NFL is 8th highest priced player this week. There is too much value with Ezekiel Elliott ($7,900) even in a tough matchup.

Best Values of the Week:

As mentioned, Ezekiel Elliott ($7,900) has dropped in price while other studs cost at least $1K more than him. Bell, DJ, and McCoy certainly have earned the right to be priced as high as they are, but Elliott is a bargain at his price this week. Jordan Howard ($6,300) has been one of the best rookies this season and should not have a problem putting up numbers against the Redskins. Spencer Ware ($5,300) has digressed since a good start to the season, but is worth a look at this price at home against Denver. Mark Ingram ($4,400) is the best value play in my opinion this week at home against the Bucs. He was clearly frustrated after Sean Payton decided to let Tim Hightower vulture two touchdowns last week. It is a good idea to load up on players in this game Saturday.

Michael Crabtree ($6,100) and Amari Cooper ($6,500) could both finally have big games together this week in a shootout potential game in Oakland against the Colts. I am keying in about 2-3 games this week and this is one of them.

Tight end Cameron Brate ($3,900) has been consistently producing for the Bucs. He gets the Saints in a game where you can load up the Bucs. Jameis Winston, Mike Evans, and Cameron Brate is a nice stack in the Superdome.

Boom or Bust of the Week

A player from this category will come from the Saints/Bucs game. There are numerous receivers in this game that could be boom/bust players. From Coby Fleener to Willie Snead, I would take a chance on a wildcard from this game. The herd will likely flock to Brandin Cooks who has been hot, but I can see any of the Saints WRs having a big day, including Michael Thomas.

Speaking Defensively

If you need a cheap play, consider the Bears ($2,300) at home against the Redskins. If you can pay up, New England ($3,600) could have a big day against the Jets at home.

Stacking Up: Aside from stacking the obvious in the Bucs/Saints game, another team would be Oakland’s Carr/Crabtree/Cooper combo. They will have shootout appeal against the Colts.

Gambling: 3 for 3 on teasers and after a week off last week, I will look for Win #4 this week:

6 point teaser: Steelers +1, Seahawks -1.5

Starting off your lineup:

QB      Jameis Winston – $6,500

RB       Mark Ingram  – $4,400

RB       Ezekiel Elliott – $7,900

WR     Michael Thomas – $6,000

WR     Mike Evans – $8,500

WR

TE       Cameron Brate – $3,900

F

D         Chicago Bears – $2,300

Remaining: $10,500

Good luck to all!
