Each week this season in the Daily Blitz, fantasy analyst Nick Pagliuca will list what players he is targeting at each position. He will also mention one player at each position that should be avoided. Price and projected stats will be considered into analysis. The key to daily fantasy is fitting players into your lineup based on price/production.
Week 6 will be focusing on DraftKings…
Russell Wilson – $6,900 – The Falcons are definitely legit after their win in Denver on Sunday, but I like the price tag offered here. The Seahawks are coming off a bye so Wilson had an extra week to recover from his injuries too.
Alex Smith ($5,700) is facing the Raiders, who give up the most fantasy points to opposing QBs.
Marcus Mariota ($6,100) may be a trendy pick after his big Week 5 performance and he gets the Browns at home in Week 6. I will likely fade this play.
Maybe this is the big week we have been waiting for from Lamar Miller ($6,600). His price tag is average and he gets the Colts at home in primetime.
Le’Veon Bell’s ($7,900) price should only continue to rise as the season goes on. If he adds TDs to his yardage production, 30+ points is within reach.DeAngelo Williams is banged up, but has not been affecting his touches at all anyway.
AVOID: C.J. Anderson – $7,200
My most expensive WR this week would either be T.Y. Hilton ($7,700) or Allen Robinson ($7,800). Hilton continues to thrive as the clear top option with Donte Moncrief out. Robinson is due to have a 100+ yard game with a score and gets to face the Bears this week.
Jeremy Maclin ($6,300) could have a big day against the Oakland secondary.
Michael Thomas ($4,300) is one of the cheapest options on the Saints offense in what could be a shootout.
If you lock Wilson into your lineups at QB, you can stack him with Doug Baldwin ($6,500).
AVOID: DeAndre Hopkins – $7,400
Another player I have refused to give up on is Coby Fleener ($3,500). He has seen 4,8,11,5 targets thus far.
Jimmy Graham ($4,900) may be back. If he has another big game Sunday, you should expect Saints-like production from Graham moving forward.
Nothing stands out on defense this week. The Texans ($2,900) are not a bad play as they can get some sacks and maybe an Andrew Luck turnover or two.
