Each week this season in the Daily Blitz, fantasy analyst Nick Pagliuca will list what players he is targeting at each position. He will also mention players that should be avoided. Price and projected stats will be considered into analysis. The key to daily fantasy is fitting players into your lineup based on price/production.
Week 9 will be focusing on DraftKings, but we have a little different setup for this week.
Favorite Play of the Week:
Ezekiel Elliott ($7,900) gets to face the worst team in the league so there is a great chance he scores at least once this weekend. He is the highest priced RB, but the price tag should be higher this week.
Best QB Value of the Week:
Colin Kaepernick ($5,600) faces the Saints at home and I would conservatively expect an 18-20 point performance due to his rushing ability. At this price, you can pay up for a couple of stud RBs in Ezekiel Elliott and Le’Veon Bell.
Best RB Value of the Week:
Charcandrick West ($4,400) is easily the top value play if Spencer Ware cannot suit up. West will take on the Jaguars at home with Nick Foles under center due to the Alex Smith injury. Expect the Chiefs to continue to run their offense effectively with Foles.
Best WR Value of the Week:
Davante Adams ($5,900) has been targeted 30 times in the last two weeks. He has 25 receptions for over 200 yards and 2 scores. If Cobb or Montgomery sit, he is a must-start. If they are both active, you need to temper your expectations just a bit, but I would still consider him a solid play at this price.
Best TE Value of the Week:
Jack Doyle ($3,600) is a big target for Andrew Luck and despite Dwayne Allen possibly returning this week, Doyle has earned himself a bigger role in the offense. You can expect points to be scored in this game so that is another plus for Doyle. If they consider Allen to be a full go come Sunday and this situation looks muddy, give Antonio Gates ($3,000) a look.
Best D’s under $3G’s:
The Chargers ($3,000) are right at the price threshold, but they get Tennessee at home and they should put up an average score. The Rams ($2,400) are a risk/reward pick as they come off the bye. See if they can get any guys healthy after the off week as they face the Panthers at home. The Packers ($2,700) are home to the Colts, who can give up some sacks and Andrew Luck INTs. The downfall to this game is if it ends up being a shootout.
