Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours! If there is one thing I love more besides family, fun and stuffing my face on Thanksgiving it’s the three slate game we get every year! I love it even more in recent years since the onset of our dear friend DFS! I feel like I say it every week but the season is drawing to an end and will be over before you know it so get into as many contests as you can. Throw a few lineups on the Thanksgiving slate, we’ve got a couple of recommendations for that down at the bottom of the article. Most importantly, enjoy some football with your family and hopefully win a few bucks while you do it!
Before we dive into our week 12 DFS value plays lets hold ourselves accountable and see how we did in week 11:
Derek Carr QB, Oakland Raiders – 14.48 points
Glad he got the late touchdown but this was a disappointing outing given the match up and game flow. The Pats defense is still beatable but playing much better.
Alex Smith QB, Kansas City Chiefs – 9.90 points
Perhaps the Chiefs offense isn’t as good as we thought? Either that or the opponents have figured them out…
Kareem Hunt RB, Kansas City Chiefs – 10.70 points
After yet another disappointing fantasy outing its time for DFS outlets to drops price even more. I’ll still be buying given his upside and floor.
Chris Thompson RB, Washington Redskins – 10.30 points
Such a shame to see Thompson go down with a broken leg, he scored early and was well on his way to a nice outing before going down for the season.
Jay Ajayi RB, Philadelphia Eagles – 11.10 points
Melvin Gordon RB, L.A. Chargers – 14.00 points
This line is disappointing considering he got 20 carries but we’ll take it. He dominated touches out of the backfield which was good to see but Austin Ekeler still managed to score.
Amari Cooper WR, Oakland Raiders – 11.80 points
Much like his quarterback, this was disappointing given the game flow and the matchup.
Larry Fitzgerald WR, Arizona Cardinals – 24.10 points
Larry legend continues to impress despite frightening QB play. PPR certainly helps!
Jeremy Maclin WR, Baltimore Ravens – 7.40 points
Well we were close… it turns out the other Ravens WR, Mike Wallace got the score this week and posted 15.60 points. Flacco is only good for about one touchdown a week.
Sterling Shepard WR, New York Giants – 0.0 points
Well this article drops Thursday morning and Shepard turned up on the injury report later that day or Friday morning, what are you gonna do? I pivoted over to Jarvis Landry who had a similar price point and it worked out.
Tyler Kroft TE, Cincinnati Bengals – 9.20 points
Dream match up on paper for any tight end. Good thing he scored that early touchdown before exiting with an injury!
Cameron Brate TE, Tampa Bay Bucanneers – 2.20 points
Well the read was right, we just picked the wrong TE! I’d miss this pick 9 times out of 10 given he body of work leading into this game. Brate’s counterpart, O.J. Howard managed a respectable 3 receptions for 52 yards and a score in this contest.
