Step aside season-long fantasy football, its DFS’ time to shine! This is the week we’ve all been waiting for as DFS players, the week where we get fresh fish stocked in our various ponds! We should see a nice influx of newer DFS players this week as many seasons came to a disappointing end in Week 13 so be sure to get your hooks in the water! On the flip side, if you are new to DFS and you’ve taken the time to read this article, first of all – thank you for the read but secondly good on you for doing a little research! DFS is a fickle beast and its tough to predict week in and week out but if you can read the tea leaves and find the sweet spot between price and output you could line yourself up for a significant pay day!
Before we dive into our Week 14 DFS value plays lets hold ourselves accountable and see how we did in Week 13:
Tyrod Taylor QB, Buffalo Bills – 4.80 points
The Patriots defense might officially be “fixed” Either that or the Bills offense is broken. It might have been a bit of both. Tyrod exiting with an injury certainly didn’t help matters.
Case Keenum QB, Minnesota Vikings – 16.98 points
It wasn’t spectacular but another useful outing for the Vikings’ signal caller.
Josh McCown QB, New York Jets – 34.14 points
McCown continues his hot streak, paying off big time in Week 13!
Samaje Perine RB, Washington Redskins – 9.90 points
He should have had a bigger night but he missed a few series while being evaluated for concussion. After that game flow dictated his usage a bit.
Leonard Fournette RB, Jacksonville Jaguars – 16.90 points
Disappointing considering the match-up. Thank goodness he scored that touchdown.
Rex Burkhead RB, New England Patriots – 25.30 points
Its very much a 1A and 1B situation in New England right now. It looks like we managed to pick the 1A for week 13, nice return on investment!
Isaiah Crowell RB, Cleveland Browns – 5.40 points
Its a mistake to trust a Browns RB – even in a juicy match up!
Jamaal Williams RB, Green Bay Packers- 23.30 points
Williams continued his hot streak in this choice match-up. The return of Aaron Jones may rain on the parade a bit but we’ll have to wait and see.
Adrian Peterson RB, Arizona Cardinals – 0.0 points
He was always iffy to play and ended up sitting out this nice match-up.
Cooper Kupp WR, L.A. Rams – 11.80 points
Once again the most consistent weapon in the passing game. Kupp led all Rams in targets for the second straight week.
DeAndre Hopkins WR, Houston Texans – 16.00 points
Another “target monster” week for Hopkins, its just too bad he’s failed to score in back-to-back weeks. He should continue to find room this week vs. the 49ers.
Mike Evans WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers – 5.30 points
The Bucs on the road with Jameis Winston in his first action in about a month was a risky bet but we have come to expect better than this from Evans. He is officially downgraded until we “see it” again.
Jamison Crowder WR, Washington Redskins – 10.70 points
Not spectacular, but a solid outing nonetheless. He remains the only consistent Washington wide receiver.
Garrett Celek TE, San Fransisco 49ers – 5.00 points
Showed decent rapport with Jimmy Garoppolo but these sort of scores will happen when you dig this deep at any position. This duo is worth watching for the remainder of the season.
Jared Cook TE, Oakland Raiders – 1.90 points
This is why he’s Jared Cook, he constantly fails in prime situations. Mathematically he made a lot of sense but once again, let us all down.
