DFS VALUE PLAYS: Week 16

Week 16 is here and this year we get a special treat – Christmas eve falls on a Sunday! I can think of few better gifts to receive this year than a full slate of Sunday NFL action capped off with a Christmas day double header on Monday! Be sure to enjoy these games with your loved ones and get some skin in each of the slates this weekend – we only have so much football left to go! Do not take it for granted!

Before we dive into our Week 16 DFS value plays lets hold ourselves accountable and see how we did in Week 15:

Ben Roethlisberger QB, Pittsburgh Steelers – 19.24 points

Given the matchup, this result is disappointing. Good thing we didn’t overpay here.

Blake Bortles QB, Jacksonville Jaguars – 28.00 points

Its scary to think but Bortles might be winning some folks championships this week.

Mike Davis RB, Seattle Seahawks – 5.90 points

Seattle’s implosion sure didn’t help the game script here, it was fun while it lasted with Davis.

Jordan Howard RB, Chicago Bears – 10.30 points

This is why we don’t trust you Jordan, thank goodness he pulled in 4 receptions to help him hit double digits.

Devonta Freeman RB, Atlanta Falcons – 33.40 points

Good to see Freeman back to full-form during the final stretch.

Dion Lewis RB, New England Patriots – 15.00 points

It was a tough call between Dion and Rex Burkhead heading into the week so there was a little luck here. Rex going down didn’t hurt Dion’s outing and certainly gives him a boost going forward.

Jordy Nelson WR, Green Bay Packers – 5.80 points

I couldn’t say no to Jordy at his unthinkably low price last week but with Aaron Rodgers landing on I.R. The dream is officially over.

Mohamed Sanu WR, Atlanta Falcons – 4.60 points

Devonta Freeman stole most of the show and Matt Ryan did the rest. He should bounce back but this was a big miss.

Demaryius Thomas WR, Denver Broncos – 11.90 points

A score would have been nice but considering what the floor can be with a Denver wide receiver these days. I won’t complain too much here.

JuJu Smith-Schuster WR, Pittsburgh Steelers – 20.40 points

Good call here, JuJu steps in as the defacto WR1 this week and should improve on this point total.

Ricky Seals-Jones TE, Arizona Cardinals – 3.10 points

Well I’m glad we can put this one to bed. When your a tight end who fails against the Redskins, I’m officially done with you for the season.

Jimmy Graham TE, Seattle Seahawks – .90 points

What on earth has happened to Jimmy Graham? .9 points over the past week is absolutely brutal. The crazy thing is he’s got a nice match up this week and might officially be a contrarian play of sorts – but I’m not about to recommend him!

On to Week 15!
