Home / DFS / DFS VALUE PLAYS: Week 6

The injury bug strikes again. My condolences to those who owned Odell Beckham Jr. in any season long leagues or those who had their GPP crushed by his absence. We wish him a speedy recovery but we’re on to Week 6! For us DFS players, injuries don’t phase as much because we simply move on and find the best value for the next week. But before we do, lets take a look back at how we did in Week 5:

Jameis Winston QB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers – 21.46 points

Low scoring game despite the week’s highest projected point total. Winston looked rough at first, but eventually squeaked out a 20+ point effort. It should have been more but we’ll take it.

Dak Prescott QB Dallas Cowboys – 30.74 points

You have to play lights out to keep up with Green Bay. Dallas was actually in the drivers seat before blowing their 4th quarter lead.  Three touchdowns through the air and one on the ground is very nice to see out of the second year signal caller.

Ezekiel Elliott RB, Dallas Cowboys – 17.20 points

He was a bit of a let down and had no touchdowns but he still eclipsed 100 yards!

Jamaal Williams RB, Green Bay Packers – .1 point

Shame on me for this one. His counterpart Aaron Jones went off for 100+ yards and touchdown. Read this one all wrong.

Thomas Rawls, RB Seattle Seahawks – 5.5 points

I am officially done recommending Seahawks RB’s until further notice.

Frank Gore, RB Indianapolis Colts – 11.6 points

10 points is about Gore’s ceiling and floor. Sadly both Jacoby Brissett and Marlon Mack had rushing scores or this score might have been much better.

James White RB, New England Patriots – 13 points

White continues to get a ton of passing work. Only Chris Hogan has more targets among Patriots players than White through five contests.

Geronimo Allison WR, Green Bay – 0.0 points

I made sure to advise checking the injury report pre-kickoff before starting Allison. I certainly hope you did! Davante Adams snagged two touchdowns so the production was there, Allison just remains a strange sort of 3-way wide receiver handcuff in Green Bay. Keep him on your radar.

Chris Hogan WR, New England Patriots – 21.40 points

Hogan scored early giving hope for a monster game. It didn’t quite finish that way but we’ll take the 20+ point outing any day!

Adam Humphries WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers – 8.10 points

This game’s over/under was a major let down but that’s TNF for you! He probably didn’t kill you but 8.10 won’t get you into the upper echelon cash in GPP’s.

DeAndre Hopkins WR, Houston Texans – 27.20

He rode most of the night with one catch for one TD before exploding in the final minutes. Garbage time counts and Watson is locked onto Hopkins. Keep starting him!

Austin Seferian-Jenkins TE, New York Jets – 14.90

Low yardage total but he did get into the end-zone. At this price, that’s about what you are looking for.

Ben Watson TE, Baltimore Ravens – 2.20 points

He was a big let down given the matchup. He could have saved his day if he caught either of his two end-zone targets, but he’s Ben Watson, enough said.

On to week 6!
