Chalk week was back as 16 of the top 20 owned players produced this week. There were a few disappointments by position such as Drew Brees at QB, Michael Thomas or Odell Beckham Jr. at WR and Tevin Coleman at RB but overall the players across the board came through. The cashline for the Draftkings Milly Maker was 30 points higher this week compared with weeks 2 and 3 where the cashline was about 153 DK points. It was about the same as we saw in week one when the cashline was around 183 DK points.
Week 5 should be just as high scoring as we have 4 teams with totals over 50 on the main slate. Last week there were only 3 teams with totals that high for Sunday. Not to mention the teams that are just below it that has to potential to shootout.
The teams I will be looking to stack the most are:
Falcons at Steelers- Over/Under 58
Raiders at Chargers- Over/Under 53
Packers at Lions- Over/Under 51
Rams at Seahawks- Over/Under 50.5
Jaguars at Chiefs- Over/Under 49
The ownership for quarterbacks was spread out pretty evenly with only Andy Dalton above 11% owned at 18%. The next two were Matt Ryan and Drew Brees at around 10.75% owned in tournaments. Dalton and Ryan had big days but Brees was a bust scoring just 8.58 DK points. Ryan Tannehill scored just 2 DK points but was not very highly owned at 3%. The best value on the board was Mitch Trubisky at $5,200 scoring 46.46 DK points. Other good value plays were Derek Carr who scored 36.58 DK points at just $5,100 and Andrew Luck at $5,500 scoring 39.66.
$DPP Value Plays
Blake Bortles (DK: $5,500/$306 DPP — FD: $7,000/$389 DPP)
Jaguars take on the Chiefs in a game set to score close to 50 points. The Chiefs pass defense has been awful allowing the 31st most passing yards with 328.5 yards per game. They have also allowed 8 touchdowns to just 2 interceptions on the year. Bortles has been very inconsistent with two games over 376 passing yards and two with 176 or less. Hopefully he can have back to back weeks with 375+ passing yards. Dede Westbrook was the primary target last week seeing 13 targets. It would make for a low cost stack. The Chiefs allow the 4th most fantasy points to QBs with 24.5 per game.
Russell Wilson (DK: $5,100/$268 DPP — FD: $7,200/$379 DPP)
Wilson has struggled this season. His fantasy points have decreased every week this year. However, Wilson’s salary is the lowest it has ever been on Draftkings and you have to believe the breakout game is coming sometime. The match-up doesn’t seem ideal as he faces a Rams defense allowing 247.2 passing yards per game (15th) and are 24th in fantasy points allowed to the QB with 13.7 points per game. If you look at what happened last week though, the defense played poorly without Aqib Talib and with a banged up Marcus Peters. Last week the Rams allowed 422 passing yards and 3 touchdowns. The most yards and touchdowns allowed in a game this season. Doug Baldwin should be another week healthier and makes for another low cost stack.
