Week 4 is here fellow Fantasy Football fans. With the presidential election around the corner there is a debate going on and I am sure eyes are all over it. For myself, it really appeared to me like a SNL sketch but it was actually a real event. My brain had a difficult time taking it all very seriously. But I guess this is what happens when you become older. The candidates seem just a bit off.
So I begin this article with my annual look at the scoring in the National Football League.
Scoring Is Down A Little Bit
So I continued the tradition which I started in 2012. I have entered into a spreadsheet every score for the first 2 weeks of the 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016 seasons. The result is that the scoring is down from last year. But only 42 points difference exists between last year and this year. Certain high flying offenses have been held in check. But no worries because it still ranks 3rd out of the 5 years. With the offense still up that means fantasy football scores should be higher than the past. With big offense comes big excitement and that is what the NFL is all about my friends.
A Win Is A Win
I eked out a victory. You see I had a possible issue. My opponent had Jameis Winston. (37 points) My opponent had Zach Miller. (27 points) My opponent had Marvin Jones.(38 points) Yowza! My opponent also just so happened to bench those player this week. Ouch! Those three or any two of those three would have been my undoing. I activated RB Christine Michael and the rest is history.
This week’s diary entry is about saying an official goodbye to Summer.
Up until last week the Summer hung on with temperatures in the 80s. The Summer has now apparently gone for now. All the heat has scorched lawns and dried out patio flowers. Pumpkin flavored everything is everywhere. For example, Starbucks Pumpkin Spiced Latte has its own cult following this time of year.
The leaves have not changed but with cold rain in the forecast we will be waiting with bated breath for the colors to come and dot the landscape. So, goodbye summer because you were hot and dry you will not be missed.
