QUARTERBACK

Top Value Play: Philip Rivers $5,500 – Rivers’ weapons are banged up, but he will still have a few reliable targets in Antonio Gates and Danny Woodhead for check-downs. It may be difficult to pick which Charger will find success, but Rivers should be able to meet and exceed his value at this salary against the Dolphins weak defense.

Also consider: Tyrod Taylor ($5,600) @ WAS

RUNNING BACK

Top Value Play: Tim Hightower ($3,900) – Hightower toted the ball 28 times last week and it is clear that he is the lead dog in the backfield. At this cost, he is the top value play of the week in a game that should feature plenty of points Monday night vs. the Lions.

Others Value Plays:
Denard Robinson – $4,600 v ATL – if Yeldon sits
Latavius Murray – $4,500 v GB – under the radar vs. weak GB run D
Brandon Bolden – $3,200 v TEN* – risk/reward

Bonus Pick:

David Johnson – $5,700 – He is not as cheap as the others, but a Sunday night matchup with the Eagles is a great spot for this Cardinal.

WIDE RECEIVER

DeAndre Hopkins – $8,500 – After a quiet Week 14, I expect Hopkins to bounce back in a big way against the Colts. The Texans will get the ball in the hands of their best offensive weapon.

Alshon Jeffery – $7,300 – Alshon went for 10-116-1 in Week 8 against the Vikings. Keep an eye on his health, but he will be targeted heavily once again if he suits up.

Values:

Jeremy Maclin – $5,500 – He may be overlooked due to the offense he is in and gets to face the Ravens secondary.

John Brown – $4,900 & Michael Floyd – $4,400 – Either one of these guys could have a big game against the Eagles. Their price tags are too low for their potential output.

Malcom Floyd – $3,500 – Yes, Floyd is not easy to trust, but against the Dolphins at this price, he is a salary saver that can score multiple times.

 TIGHT END

Antonio Gates – $4,600 – Ownership level may be high
Zach Miller – $3,600 – Top value at the TE position
Eric Ebron – $3,300 – Shootout game, worth a flier

DEFENSE

  1. Seahawks – $4,200 v CLE – clearly the top dog this week
  2. Chiefs – $3,700 @ BAL
  3. Patriots – $3,700 v TEN

Plenty of values…

Steelers – $2,700 v DEN – should be a top 10 DEF this week
Texans – $2,500 @ IND – love even more if Whitehurst has to start
49ers – $2,100 v CIN – better team at home this year, face backup QB
Colts – $2,000 v HOU – best value
