The options are limited this week due to the 4-game slate so selections will be limited at each position.
Kirk Cousins – $5,900 – Cousins at home has been terrific with a 16:2 TD:INT ratio. He has averaged 23.4 fppg at home and is a solid option this week. The herd will probably flock to Russell Wilson & Ben Roethlisberger, but I like Cousins and the discounted price.
If I am paying up for one QB, it would be Wilson over Big Ben due to the rushing yards of Wilson.
The value at running back this week comes in the Green Bay backfield.
I would plug in one of the Green Bay backs, with Starks offering more upside with his ability to catch balls out of the backfield.
Fitzgerald Toussaint ($3,900) is a risk/reward option, but will be tough to trust. I am passing on him this week for a proven commodity. Giovani Bernard ($4,000) could be featured often in this type of game. He could rack up a handful of receptions and if he reaches the end zone, he will exceed his value.
I am spending up at the WR position since I will be able to save at QB & RB.
A.J. Green – $7,500 – Green usually saves his best games for Pittsburgh and this one should be no different. He is not a must-play as there are other options this week, but he is definitely in play.
Jeremy Maclin – $6,400 – Maclin’s hip injury does not seem like it will affect him this week. He is a top value at this price.
James Jones – $4,100 – If you are feeling risky, take a chance with Jones and perhaps even Randall Cobb ($5,800) if you want to run out a Packers’ stack. Jones seems to be Aaron Rodgers most trusted receiver these days so he comes at a great value against the Redskins.
Jordan Reed ($6,300) stands out as the clear #1 TE this week. He will probably be as heavily owned as Antonio Brown, so if you want to diversify your lineup, take a look at Heath Miller ($3,300). Miller caught 10 balls in each game against the Bengals this season and the emphasis should be on the passing game Saturday night.
Seahawks ($4,100) or Chiefs ($4,000) are the plays on defense this week.
If you really cannot afford either team, the Packers ($2,800) are not a terrible option at the cheapest price.
Good luck and enjoy the playoffs!
