DFS: FanDuel Plays of the Week – Week 3

1) Matthew Stafford $7,700 at Arizona (32nd)
2) Kirk Cousins $7,600 vs. Detroit (30th)
3) Tua Tagovailoa $7,300 vs. Buffalo (3rd)
4) Justin Herbert $8,200 vs. Jacksonville (18th)
5) Jalen Hurts $8,100 at Washington (23rd)
6) Lamar Jackson $8,600 at New England (9th)
7) Kyler Murray $7,800 vs. Los Angeles Rams (28th)
8) Josh Allen $9,000 at Miami (29th)
9) Patrick Mahomes $8,700 at Indianapolis (17th)
10) Jared Goff $7,100 at Minnesota (1st)

Skinny: The Los Angeles Rams found their footing last week against Atlanta. This week they get Arizona, who are dead last against the passing game. Matthew Stafford deserves to be the top play of the week. Kirk Cousins’ inclusion in the Top-3 will draw cringe-worthy reactions from the readers. We all know that Cousins was not great on Monday Night. A rebound game while the fantasy consensus is down on him is just what the doctor ordered.

1) Dameon Pierce $5,800 at Chicago (21st)
2) Miles Sanders $6,800 at Washington (28th)
3) Antonio Gibson $6,700 vs. Philadelphia (32nd)
4) James Robinson $6,600 at Los Angeles Chargers (19th)
5) Josh Jacobs $6,500 at Tennessee (31st)
6) Alvin Kamara $7,000 at Carolina (22nd)
7) Leonard Fournette $7,200 vs. Green Bay (14th)
8) D’Andre Swift $8,000 at Minnesota (29th)
9) Dalvin Cook $8,300 vs. Detroit (30th)
10) Austin Ekeler $8,700 vs. Jacksonville (12th)

Skinny: I’m calling my shot here – this will be the breakout game for Dameon Pierce. All signs are pointing to an increased role in the Houston offense. The Houston/Chicago game should be competitive, and the game script should be ideal for Pierce to touch the ball 20-plus times. Miles Sanders and Antonio Gibson are in play in the Philadelphia/Washington game. Sanders remains the head of the Philadelphia running back by committee approach and has looked great thus far in the season. Antonio Gibson remains the lead back for Washington. If Washington can use Gibson in space as a receiver out of the backfield, he should put up numbers.

1) DeVonta Smith $6,000 at Washington (28th)
2) Drake London $6,200 at Seattle (11th)
3) Adam Thielen $6,000 vs. Detroit (26th)
4) D.J. Moore $6,400 vs. New Orleans (9th)
5) Allen Robinson $6,000 vs. Arizona (12th)
6) Curtis Samuel $6,300 vs. Philadelphia (24th)
7) Brandin Cooks $6,600 at Chicago (17th)
8) Jaylen Waddle $7,500 vs. Buffalo (25th)
9) Christian Kirk $7,100 at Los Angeles Chargers (21st)
10) Mike Williams $7,000 vs. Jacksonville (19th)

Skinny: The daily slates were released Monday, before the action on Monday Night Football. Take advantage of the price for DeVonta Smith at $6,000. Smith shined as a pass catcher in a bounce-back performance, and he should have no problem finding open spaces in the Washington secondary on Sunday. Drake London is emerging as a star in this league. London’s price tag will be $7,000 before long – take advantage of the bargain while you still can. The Minnesota passing game will have a bounce-back performance on Sunday, and Adam Thielen, at only $6,000 will be a primary beneficiary.

1) Kyle Pitts $5,600 at Seattle (25th)
2) Darren Waller $6,400 at Tennessee (14th)
3) Gerald Everett $5,800 vs. Jacksonville (11th)
4) Travis Kelce $7,800 at Indianapolis (28th)
5) Mark Andrews $7,700 at New England (12th)

Skinny: I will die on the Kyle Pitts hill if I must. I cannot fathom a player this talented not being involved more in the Atlanta passing game. The talented sophomore tight end gets off the snide and hits his stride on Sunday against Seattle. Darren Waller remains a value play at $6,400. Waller is a mainstay in the Las Vegas offense. Gerald Everett has benefited from joining forces with Justin Herbert and the explosive Los Angeles Chargers offense. At $5,800, Gerald Everett remains a bargain play.
