DFS: FanDuel Plays of the Week (Week 5)

  1. Deshaun Watson $7,900 vs. Jacksonville (27th)

  2. Lamar Jackson $8,900 vs. Cincinnati (8th)

  3. Kyler Murray $8,300 at New York Jets (9th)

  4. Patrick Mahomes $9,000 vs. Las Vegas (5th)

  5. Dak Prescott $8,700 vs. New York Giants (10th)

  6. Josh Allen $8,400 at Tennessee (18th)

  7. Matt Ryan $7,700 vs. Carolina (3rd)

  8. Teddy Bridgewater $7,100 at Atlanta (32nd)

  9. Jared Goff $7,500 at Washington (19th)

  10. Ben Roethlisberger $7,400 vs. Philadelphia (14th)

Skinny: We were waiting for Deshaun Watson to go off a week ago, but it was not meant to be. Following what can only be described as a ‘murderers row’ to begin the season, Deshaun Watson, minus the recently fired Bill O’Brien, should begin his ascension this weekend against a Jacksonville defense that is Bottom 5 in the league. I don’t normally like paying up at quarterback, but I believe this is a week that Lamar Jackson goes thermo-nuclear. Kyler Murray and the Arizona offense has been misfiring just a bit here as of late, and what is the best solution for a sputtering offense? Playing the New York Jets.

  1. Kareem Hunt $7,000 vs. Indianapolis (7th)

  2. Antonio Gibson $5,800 vs. Los Angeles Rams (19th)

  3. David Johnson $6,400 vs. Jacksonville (20th)

  4. James Robinson $6,600 at Houston (29th)

  5. Mike Davis $6,800 at Atlanta (16th)

  6. Clyde Edwards-Helaire $7,900 vs. Las Vegas (32nd)

  7. Jonathan Taylor $7,100 at Cleveland (8th)

  8. Ezekiel Elliott $9,000 vs. New York Giants (23rd)

  9. Mark Ingram II $6,100 vs. Cincinnati (28th)

  10. Todd Gurley $6,700 vs. Carolina (31st)

Skinny: We have been on the Kareem Hunt bandwagon all season long, and now with Nick Chubb out with a knee injury, Hunt is about to approach Top-5 back status. At only $7,000, giddy up. During my research, it was weird that Antonio Gibson still was only priced at $5,800. Gibson has continued to emerge as the only running back to trust in Washington and now that he is being used as a pass catcher out of the backfield, wheels up. If you haven’t already, it’s time to buy-in on James Robinson. The guy is doing it all for Jacksonville in its backfield and in a matchup where he will be facing a Bottom 5 run defense, fire him up in a big way for your daily lineups on Sunday.

  1. CeeDee Lamb $5,900 vs. New York Giants (22nd)

  2. Stefon Diggs $7,100 vs. Tennessee (19th)

  3. D.J. Moore $6,600 at Atlanta (30th)

  4. Will Fuller $6,600 vs. Jacksonville (12th)

  5. Marquise Brown $6,100 vs. Cincinnati (3rd)

  6. Amari Cooper $7,800 vs. New York Giants (22nd)

  7. Tyreek Hill $8,200 vs. Las Vegas (4th)

  8. DeAndre Hopkins $8,700 at New York Jets (15th)

  9. Robert Woods $6,700 at Washington (6th)

  10. JuJu Smith-Schuster $7,300 vs. Philadelphia (21st)

Skinny: Why is CeeDee Lamb only $5,900? I simply cannot figure this out. The emergence of a premium pass catching option in an offense that is easily Top-3 in the league, CeeDee Lamb is going to continue to produce at a high level and remains one of the better bargains in all of daily fantasy. We have to check and double-check to make sure that Tennessee is even going to be able to play this weekend given the number of Covid-positive players and personnel. If this game is indeed a ‘go’ I’m in on Stefon Diggs in a big way. People are off of D.J. Moore, and I get it. Robby Anderson outperforming the presumed Carolina WR1 is not ideal. I’m going to stick with Moore one more week though, against an Atlanta defense that is nonexistent. Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown is on the end of my favorite stack of the weekend, as the chemistry between Lamar Jackson and Brown hasn’t been there quite yet. I’m expecting this to be a great spot for a ‘get right game’ for the Baltimore passing attack.
