DFS: Plays of the Week – Main Slate

QUARTERBACK

  1. Kyler Murray $9,100 at New England (11th)
  2. Josh Allen $8,600 vs. Los Angeles Chargers (27th)
  3. Justin Herbert $8,400 at Buffalo (28th)
  4. Derek Carr $7,100 at Atlanta (32nd)
  5. Matt Ryan $7,600 vs. Las Vegas (24th)
  6. Patrick Mahomes $9,000 at Tampa Bay (8th)
  7. Tom Brady $7,900 vs. Kansas City (7th)
  8. Cam Newton $7,700 vs. Arizona (25th)
  9. Daniel Jones $7,200 at Cincinnati (21st)
  10. Baker Mayfield $6,900 at Jacksonville (30th)

Skinny: We are normally scouring for deals and bargains … not this week … Kyler Murray is the most expensive play on the board, but I highly recommend investing in the Arizona signal-caller … Murray coming off of extra rest against a New England defense that was just torched by Deshaun Watson, I anticipate Murray having a huge day on Sunday … I cannot wait for what I expect to be the shootout of the weekend between Buffalo and the Los Angeles Chargers … with Josh Allen and Justin Herbert BOTH in plus matchups here, and only separated by $200 in salary, I would advise choosing either to lead your team … Derek Carr has been much better than advertised in 2020 … Las Vegas as a team have been much better … going toe-to-toe with Kansas City twice now has left us very impressed with Las Vegas … facing the Atlanta defense that gets obliterated week in and week out, you have to love Derek Carr at just $7,100.

RUNNING BACK

  1. Nick Chubb $8,400 at Jacksonville (26th)
  2. Dalvin Cook $11,000 vs. Carolina (28th)
  3. Kareem Hunt $6,600 at Jacksonville (26th)
  4. Alvin Kamara $8,600 at Denver (17th)
  5. James Robinson $7,400 vs. Cleveland (8th)
  6. Salvon Ahmed $5,800/Myles Gaskin $5,600 at New York Jets (27th)
  7. Derrick Henry $8,300 at Indianapolis (3rd)
  8. Ronald Jones II $6,500 vs. Kansas City (22nd)
  9. Mike Davis $7,200 at Minnesota (15th)
  10. Giovani Bernard $6,100 vs. New York Giants (24th)

Skinny: In two weeks since his return to the Cleveland starting lineup, Nick Chubb has been the better back in the backfield … the huge blowup week is coming, and this could be the week … I’m also supporting his teammate Kareem Hunt this week as Cleveland takes on Jacksonville, who is one of the worst teams in the league against defending the run … you’re playing Dalvin Cook in a big time bounce back spot against Carolina, who is notoriously poor against the run … keep an eye on the injury report and whether or not Myles Gaskin is back this weekend for Miami … either Gaskin, or Salvon Ahmed, will make for a very nice play against a weary New York Jets defense.
