Whether your league is just about to begin the playoffs or you’ve made it successfully through the first round, congratulations! You are one step closer to achieving what every fantasy football player wants – a championship. And if you’re playoffs don’t begin until next week, let’s get you there. Here are a few players that should help you to victory.
TE David Njoku – Cleveland Browns
Dating back to the 2018 season, Njoku is averaging 57 receiving yards and scored twice over his last three complete games before his Week 14 performance this year. He’ll meet the mostly unintimidating Cardinals defense. Arizona had surrendered at least 5 catches for 60 yards or a touchdown in every game since Week 5 until Vance McDonald finished Week 14 with one catch for three yards – I don’t see this as an awakening by their defense. You can expect a good comeback week from Njoku in Week 15.
Snagging the Cleveland pass catcher shouldn’t be too hard as he is between 65-80% unowned and Njoku could be your tight end ticket to the promised land.
WR A.J. Brown – Tennessee Titans
This pickup is kind of a no-brainer. Brown has been outstanding recently with 12 catches for 333 yards and 3 touchdowns over his last three contests – capped off by 153 yards and 2 touchdowns this past week. In Week 15, they’ll host the Texans who have been burned by Julian Edelman, Zach Pascal and Hunter Renfrow in recent weeks, among other wide receivers.
Brown’s big play ability makes him dangerous on every play. His 70-75% availability makes him a great add – even better if you can stack him with Tannehill.
RB Adrian Peterson – Washington Redskins
It is probably the end of the road for Derrius Guice‘s 2019 campaign after suffering another MCL injury. Peterson will once again take over the large majority of carries – as he amassed 76 yards and a touchdown on 20 handoffs in Week 14. Even against a tough Eagles run defense in Week 15, Peterson’s opportunity and skill will make him a “startable” candidate.
The future Hall-of-Famer has still got it after all these years and he’s 55-60% available.
RB Patrick Laird – Miami Dolphins
It looks as though the Dolphins are going to let Laird “audition” for an expanded role for the 2020 season by giving him the bulk of work for the rest of this season. His 15 carries and 4 catches led the team in touches and his 86 total yards were surprisingly efficient against the Jets. Miami has a promising schedule with the Giants and Bengals in the next two weeks – both teams are in the bottom-half of the league at giving up fantasy points to running backs.
Laird is over 80% available in leagues, making him a likely addition for your team. If you need help at running back, he could be your guy – especially in larger/deeper leagues.
QB Ryan Tannehill – Tennessee Titans
This will likely be the last time you can find Tannehill on your waiver wire as he has caught fire. After throwing multiple touchdown passes in 4 straight games, the Titans are ready to make the former 1st round pick their long term quarterback. The Texans make for a great Week 15 match up as they have surrendered over 300 passing yards and 3 passing touchdowns in each of their last two games.
If you haven’t already stashed him on your bench, he is still available in 50-60% of leagues.
