THE GREY REPORT: Week 10

Cam Newton – – Faces a defense that has had issues against the pass and the Steelers offense should be able to put up some points, which will force Cam and the Panthers to do the same.

Christian McCaffrey – – Faces a good run defense, but that might mean lots of play in the receiving game, so he should continue to roll and merit starting per usual.

C.J. Anderson – – Still not getting many touches, to continue to forget him.

Devin Funchess – – He runs hot and cold, so is becoming a risky option, but does face an iffy pass defense, which should help his cause and could make him a solid starting option.

D.J. Moore – – The rookie has shown flashes, but still not consistently producing enough to justify a start. The match-up is solid, so he does have a chance to contribute.

Torrey Smith – – Still dealing with an injured knee and even if he can go, hard to expect he will contribute enough to help your cause.

Jarius Wright – – His touches are still lacking, so hard to count on him.

Curtis Samuel – – Still not being used much, so continue to look at other options.

Greg Olsen – – Coming off another big game as he is rounding back into form and faces a defense that has struggled against the pass.

Graham Gano – – A solid Steelers defense could force them to settle for some FG attempts.

Carolina Panthers – – The defense is solid, but does face an offense that has been rolling, though Big Ben has had some tough days when he has gotten pressured hard.

Ben Roethlisberger – – Against a good run defense and iffy pass defense, he likely will be asked to throw a bit more, which should help his cause. That broken finger on his non-throwing hand is still a minor concern, but it shouldn’t stop you from starting Big Ben.

James Conner – – Continues to produce as a runner and receiver, so even with a poor match-up, he remains a must start option.

Jaylen Samuels – – Still nothing but a handcuff to the handcuff.

Le’Veon Bell – – Not expected back yet, so continue to forget him. There are even rumors he won’t report at all. Only time will tell.

Antonio Brown – – Continues to produce and faces a Panthers defense that has had some issues against the pass, so continue to ride the talented receiver.

JuJu Smith-Schuster – – Coming off another nice game and with a solid match-up, remains a worthy starting option.

James Washington – – The rookie’s production is still pretty much non-existent, so continue to forget about starting.

Justin Hunter – – Still not being used much, so move along.

Vance McDonald – – Has his moments and with a good match-up, he could get the job done if you need to give him a look.

Jesse James – – Has some good moments, but more often than not has struggled to produce. With so many other weapons in the fold, hard to count on him, even with a nice match-up.

Chris Boswell – – Has been up and down, though a capable Panthers defense could force the Steelers to settle for some FG attempts.

Pittsburgh Steelers – – The defense has been up and down, though they do have enough play makers to get the job done, but will have their hands full against a good offense.

Blake Bortles – – While he has a favorable match-up, hard to count on a guy that was benched a few weeks back and doesn’t have the strongest hold on the starting job. Too much risk to start him in case he were to get yanked quickly if he struggled out of the gate.

Leonard Fournette – – Hopes to return from that injured hamstring, but may not be ready for a full load. A good match-up should help and he has too much upside to sit, though if you have other good options, it could help to let him get his legs back under him. But watch his status closely as he is not a lock to return.

Carlos Hyde – – Has a good match-up and even if Fournette is back, Hyde should see some touches to allow Fournette to ease back in a bit. But hard to start him if Fournette is back. If Leonard sits out again, bump Hyde up to a 3 football option and consider him starter worthy.

T.J. Yeldon – – Even if Fournette is out, becoming harder to trust Yeldon with Hyde in the fold, though his receiving skills could still help, especially with a good match-up.

Keelan Cole – – Still not producing much, so even with a good match-up, hard to trust Cole.

Donte Moncrief – – Has shown flashes and with a good match-up, he may have enough upside to justify a start if you need to reach a bit.

Dede Westbrook – – Like Moncrief, he has his moments and has come on a bit, but it is still hard to trust the Jaguars passing attack. A good match-up will give him a chance to help your cause if you need to roll the dice on someone.

D.J. Chark – – Has shown some potential, but until he starts producing more, he is not a guy that you want to start.

David Grinnage – – The rookie has shown some potential, but still not ready for you to considering starting.

James O’Shaughnessy – – Still not being used much, so continue to forget him, even if he returns from that injured hip.

Josh Lambo – – Still hard to trust this offense, though they do have some potential with a good match-up. Still would prefer to lean on a kicker on a better offense.

Jacksonville Jaguars – – The defense has play makers, but will have their hands full on the road against a good Colts offense.

Andrew Luck – – Continues to have a hot hand, but comes out of the bye against a strong pass defense. At least he gets them at home and while he has more risk than usual, he is too hot to sit.

Marlon Mack – – Banged up, but expected to be alright, so just watch his status. Coming off a big day, but that was against a really bad defense. The Jaguars have had issues against the run, so that could help him get the job done again.

Nyheim Hines – – His receiving skills could help his cause, but he faces a good defense, so it may be best to look for an option with a better match-up.

Jordan Wilkins – – Even if Mack is unable to play, hard to expect him to produce enough to justify a start.

Robert Turbin – – Expected to return from that injured shoulder, but likely won’t have much of a role.

T.Y. Hilton – – Continues to roll, though will have his hands full against an elite Jaguars pass defense, but he has earned must start status, so keep staying at the Hilton.

Ryan Grant – – Still dealing with that injured ankle, so it may be best to continue to hold off on considering Grant, who is a risky play even when healthy.

Dontrelle Inman – – Just not productive enough to justify starting him against a strong pass defense.

Chester Rogers – – His cool down continues and with a tough match-up, it may be best to look at other options.

Zach Pascal – – Has his moments, but a tough match-up probably makes him too risky to rely on.

Eric Ebron – – Continues to produce and while he faces a good pass defense, he could give them some trouble, so remains a strong option.

Jack Doyle – – Coming off a nice game, but with Ebron in the fold, the good times have just been too few and far between to justify a start.

Adam Vinatieri – – A good Jaguars defense could force them to settle for some FG attempts and lead to a strong performance by the crafty veteran.

Indianapolis Colts – – The defense has had few good days, but against an inconsistent Jaguars offense, they could pay off.

Josh Allen – – Still dealing with that injured shoulder and even if he can go, too risky to rely on.

Derek Anderson – – Would get the start if Allen can’t go, but hard to count on him and the Bills passing game.

LeSean McCoy – – His production has been inconsistent, but against as iffy run defense, he has a chance to do enough to help your cause.

Chris Ivory – – Dealing with an injured shoulder and even if he can go, still the 2nd fiddle to McCoy, so may be hard to count on him.

Marcus Murphy – – If Ivory were a no go, he could see some touches, but probably not enough to justify a fantasy start.

Kelvin Benjamin – – Still not producing enough to consider him a viable option.

Zay Jones – – Hard to trust any piece of the Bills passing game, so I’d continue to search for WR help.

Terrelle Pryor – – Not expected to be used much, so continue to forget about the former QB.

Andre Holmes – – Still not doing much, so continue to forget him.

Charles Clay – – Expected to miss some time with an injured hamstring and even if he can go, too risky to rely on.

Logan Thomas – – Should see some action with Clay injured, but still hard to count on him, even though he did show some flashes last week.

Steven Hauschka – – The offense just hasn’t been doing enough to feel good about him getting enough scoring chances.

Buffalo Bills – – The defense has struggled fantasy wise more often than not, but do face an inconsistent offense coming off a horrid game, so they do have some upside.

Sam Darnold – – Coming off a brutal four interception performance and faces a good Bills pass defense, so it may be wise to look at other options.

Isaiah Crowell – – Not the best match-up, but the Bills offensive struggles likely will mean the running game can be used most, if not all, of the game. Has enough upside to give him a look if you need to.

Elijah McGuire – – Getting some touches and is a capable receiver, but still the 2nd fiddle to Crowell and facing a solid run defense, so probably best to look elsewhere.

Trenton Cannon – – The rookie is still not being used much, so continue to look elsewhere.

Quincy Enunwa – – Has his moments, but does face a good pass defense and since he it inconsistent when healthy, may be best to play it safe with another option.

Robby Anderson – – like Enunwa, he has shown flashes, but a tough match-up probably makes him too risky to rely on.

Jermaine Kearse – – Still not producing much, so probably not a guy you want to rely on.

Rishard Matthews – – Continues to be a useless fantasy option, so continue to look elsewhere for fantasy help.

Chris Herndon – – Has been coming on, though does face a good Bills pass defense. But he could be a key to throwing and with so few tight ends worth starting, he could pay off.

Eric Tomlinson – – Still not producing enough to justify a start.

Jason Myers – – The Bills defense has given up plenty of points, but they are capable of forcing the Jets to settle for FG attempts and lead to a big day for Myers.

New York Jets – – The defense has cooled off, but against a struggling Bills offense, they should be able to bounce back and justify getting back into your starting lineup.

Drew Brees – – Continues to roll and faces a pass defense that has been torched often, so continue to ride Brees.

Alvin Kamara – – A good match-up should keep Kamara rolling, so definitely must be in your starting lineup as usual.

Mark Ingram – – A good match-up should help his cause and while he is dependent on touchdowns at this time, he could get a crack at the end zone and justify gambling on.

Michael Thomas – – Coming off a huge game and with another good match-up, he remains a must start option.

Tre’Quan Smith – – Has shown flashes and does have a good match-up, so he could pay off. Still probably too risky to rely on due to his limited touches. Who knows how the addition of Dez Bryant will impact the rookie’s value (Probably not much at this time).

Cameron Meredith – – While he may have his moments, they are way too rare to justify starting Meredith. Likely will feel the addition of Bryant the most.

Austin Carr – – Still not being used much, so continue to forget him.

Ben Watson – – Has been inconsistent, but faces a defense that has had issues against the pass, especially the tight end, so could be worth a shot.

Josh Hill – – A rare touchdown or nothing, so hard to trust him.

Wil Lutz – – The offense should continue to roll and playing on the road could lead to some FG attempts.

New Orleans Saints – – The defense has started to show some flashes, but still has struggled fantasy wise more often than not. Do face a good offense, but one without its top WR, so that could help their cause.

Andy Dalton – – The loss of his go to WR Green is a huge one. He still has weapons and a great match-up, so he has enough upside to start, especially since he is at home. But he definitely has more a lot more risk than usual. That being said, the match-up is a very juicy one.

Joe Mixon – – Coming off a huge game and while he faces a good run defense, he should be busy and can help in the passing game, so worth riding him once again.

Giovani Bernard – – Hopes to return from that injured knee, but still buried behind Mixon. Though with Green banged up, maybe he is used more in the passing game and could surprise.

Mark Walton – – Even if Bernard is out again, not worth your time.

A.J. Green – – Expected to miss time with an injured toe. The amount of time is still up in the air, but it sounds like he is definitely out for at least a couple games.

Tyler Boyd – – The loss of Green means he should be the go to WR, but also means more attention from the defense. A good match-up should help his cause, not to mention the Bengals could be playing catch up, so should be a good week to ride Boyd.

John Ross – – Still fighting a groin injury, but looks like he will return and will need to step up to fill-in for the injured Green. Has big play potential and a great match-up, so could pay off. But I’d still prefer to lean on a more proven option.

Alex Erickson – – A banged up Green could mean more touches, but still hard to expect him produce enough to justify a start.

Josh Malone – – In the same boat as Erickson, so probably not worth your time.

C.J. Uzomah – – Hasn’t stepped up like expected, but the loss of Green could mean a bigger role and does have a good match-up, so could pay off if you roll the dice.

Randy Bullock – – The Bengals are usually better at home and face an inconsistent defense and likely will need to put up points, which should lead to a busy day for Bullock.

Cincinnati Bengals – – The defense has been up and down, though will be hard to trust against the high-powered Saints offense, even at home, especially when you factor in all the injuries.
