THE PROGNOSTICATOR: Week 15

Welcome my fantasy brethren to another edition of The Prognosticator, may it look wonderful Tuesday morning. Playoff time is in the air and it’s exciting. Good luck to all in these pivotal matches. For those that don’t have a tournament for all the teams that missed the playoffs, you’re missing out, it’s always a fun time to start 0-0 again in a losing season where you didn’t make the playoffs. Think about adding one to your league.

How to read the table: The table shows how a team will do Passing and Rushing in the upcoming week of the NFL. Red is HOT, Yellow is WARM, White is NORMAL, Light Blue is COLD and Dark Blue is FREEZING COLD. Play players from teams that are Red and Yellow, avoid players from teams that are Light or Dark Blue and expect average days from teams that are White.

All times are Eastern

Los Angeles Chargers at Kansas City Chiefs – Thursday 8:20pm
This game has been played at the time of this writing. The Progno expected a good game and a high total but fell on the wrong side of this one. What an epic comeback by the Chargers.

Houston Texans at New York Jets – Saturday 4:30pm
New York can hang around in this one because they’ll find openings with their passing game but overall, Houston is the better team and will be able to run Lamar Miller until the cows come home.

Cleveland Browns at Denver Broncos – Saturday 8:20pm
There are two offenses this week that aren’t getting as much love as they should. The first is the Browns who self-admittedly are a tricky read because Baker Mayfield has about the same chance of being the highest scoring fantasy quarterback of the week as he does being the lowest. If you have Mayfield and your other quarterback choice is the least bit unsettling, roll the bones and try Mayfield as your starter. Sometimes, you have to take chances. Play all that you own in the Cleveland passing game in fact, they make for a sneaky play this week. Denver will run the ball because they have been doing that well lately and they will continue to here with Phillip Lindsay.

Detroit Lions at Buffalo Bills – Sunday 1:00pm
When I put the game on the scale there’s just no way I can say that Detroit is the better team and on the road in Buffalo? That’s just an uphill climb both ways for the Lions. Do not get cute by playing any of your Lions, this isn’t a good spot for them but the Buffalo offense will play well in this one and there will be some fantasy surprises as Buffalo should be able to run the ball which opens up so many more options for them.

Favorite: Buffalo Bills by 2.5
Prediction: Buffalo Bills 27 – Detroit Lions 14
