We keep this going all season. Thanks for reading, especially to those who still come here even though their league rules may have already closed down free agency. We appreciate your patronage! A crazy week in the NFL with so many playoff contenders losing and those that didn’t lose just scraped by. With three weeks to go, there is sure to be more craziness to come!
For those who still have the opportunity to pick up players, we go rapid fire this week. Don’t forget there are some Saturday games on the schedule this week to go along with the usual Thursday game! On to the wonders.
RB Justin Jackson, Los Angeles Chargers
Huge game on tap this week between the Chargers and Kansas City, and Los Angeles may be playing this game without both Austin Ekeler and Melvin Gordon. Ekeler was hurt this past week, and with this being a Thursday game there is a strong possibility he will be unable to make the quick turnaround. Should both miss this game, then this is an extremely good spot for Jackson as the lone runner for the Chargers.
RB Damien Williams, Kansas City
Speaking of Kansas City and the Los Angeles Chargers, while everyone ran out and picked up Spencer Ware, it may not be a bad move to speculate and add Williams. When it came down to scoring touchdowns last week, it was Williams that hit paydirt not once, but twice.
TE Ian Thomas, Carolina
We listed Thomas last week as a “Solid Pickup,” and he is here again this week based on a strong performance in last week’s game and continued availability in more than half the online leagues. Carolina loves the tight end, and with nine catches for 77 yards last week against Cleveland, Thomas will be one of the top-producing fantasy tight ends down the stretch.
WR Robby Anderson, New York Jets
Another country heard from! For the second week in a row, he hauled in four passes but this week in Buffalo one of those went for a touchdown. The Jets are going to be passing the ball in each of their remaining games, so look for Anderson to be making more fantasy noise down the stretch.
RB Chris Ivory, Buffalo
With LeSean McCoy battling a hamstring injury, that would open up the door for Ivory to be the lone back for Buffalo. This week against Detroit will be a tough go, but with New England and Miami on the schedule, if McCoy is out then Ivory will be worth a fantasy look but check his injury too as he got dinged last week.
TE Vernon Davis, Washington
Washington is another team that loves to use the tight end, and with Jordan Reed unlikely to play this week, Davis is will be a good play at Jacksonville. Good production here the rest of the way, too, should Reed not be able to return.
WR Robert Foster, Buffalo
With Buffalo moving on from ineffective Kelvin Benjamin, Foster stepped into the starting role and excelled this week against the New York Jets. He was good for 104 yards on seven catches, strong numbers that are likely to continue with Buffalo needing to pass the ball more down the stretch.
RB Elijah McGuire, New York Jets
Another back likely to see an expanded role due to injury, McGuire is poised to finally break out of the running back by committee that has been going on in New York. Isaiah Crowell left last week’s game and may miss the upcoming battle with Houston.
