These hires are smart. They aren’t hiring anyone that will be able to replace them as head coaches. Brilliant.

Must be giving him freedom to pursue more head coaching positions.

Bills fired OC Rick Dennison.
Dennison lasted just one season as the Bills' offensive play-caller under first-year coach Sean McDermott. The Bills were 29th in total yards under Dennison, 22nd in points per game, and 31st in passing. Buffalo did manage a sixth-place finish in rushing offense, but it wasn't enough to save Dennison his job. A Gary Kubiak disciple, Dennison has been involved in a ton of great rushing offenses. And it's hard to fault him for the passing struggles when there were no weapons to speak of, though Dennison very much could have done a better job designing an offense to cater to Tyrod Taylor's strengths. The Bills will likely usher in a new quarterback to go along with whoever they choose as offensive coordinator.

Design an offense around Tyrod Taylor... the guy the coach wanted so badly to bench for his guy who failed miserably.

I wouldn't be surprised if he was instructed specifically not to do that.

Sure they were terrible, but man that was a bad situation for an OC to be in.

This chicken parm narrative is so true and hilarious at the same time, but Chud is interesting even if he's still from the cocoon. What's McCoy's story?

That said sure looks like from afar Dennison was always a dead man walking. Was he a carry over from the old regime?

Are we racist for calling it Black Monday? Or is it some reference to the Rooney Rule?

Did the Steelers fire OC Todd Haley and DC Keith Butler yet?

PIT finished 20th in rushing, 6 more yards in 2017 than the offensive line-less, running back talentless Indy Colts had....despite having one of the best OLines and RBs in the league.

The offense is a collection of individual stars that collectively underachieve, despite the gaudy numbers they put up now and then.
