Flame me if you want, but I thought that Chubb was a very talented RB in the NFL but a little overrated in FF. I think he was productive in spurts this year, which inflated his perceived value, but his overall FF production going forward will not be as high as people are currently valuing him.

We will see how he fares as CLE improves as an offense, he may prove me wrong. But I think the 20+ outbursts will happen infrequently while the 10-15 PPG production will be the norm. I'm thinking under 100 yards rushing, 1-4 receptions for 10 yards each, 0.5 TD a game, for an average of roughly 13-14 PPG (10 PPG if he doesn't get the TD, 16 PPG if he does).

While the explosive games will bring his average up, I don't see him cracking the 20 average PPG territory that the top 8 RBs were in this year.

While I think Hunt being in CLE does take away some opportunities from Chubb, the difference is minor in how I view Chubb long term. I think Hunt may be used to give Chubb a breather and maybe as a pass catcher.

This improves CLE as a team, and insulates them from injury concerns, but Chubb remains the franchise RB that gets the most touches. For Hunt, this move keeps him in the league and gives him a chance to prove himself, but he won't be a lottery ticket until 1-2 years if he plays well enough to gain trade interest from other teams.

Imagine Duke Johnson traded to the Bucs.

Remember the pass catching numbers David Johnson had under Arians?

I could see Gruden replacing Richard with Duke too......he's a faster Charlie Garner.

I'd be far less excited to draft Duke in Oakland/LV/whatever than if he plays for the Bucs.

If the Bucs traded for him tomorrow IMHO he'd be a 2nd round back, and a steal any later than that.

(Aside from the Bucs using a high draft pick on RB or signing another top 5 FA).

But I don't want to de-rail this thread from the lady-beater.

I'll derail it.

In 2002 a 30 year old Charlie Garner put up the following stats in what was basically still Gruden's offense:

182 rushing attempts, 962 yards, 7 TD's
91 receptions, 941 yards, 4 TD's

Even if happy feet captain checkdown is still our QB next year, Duke could easily replicate these numbers, or at least come close to them.

You don’t just interchange players in different situations.

He can't, but you bet that he'll deploy a player like he did 17 years ago. So I agree this hypothetical would 180 Duke's current stock in our game.

Yeah, cause Gruden needs to be proven as a great coach before captain checkdown's 150 dumpoffs to RB's/TE's next year will count in my PPR league. :stupid:
