Flacco to Denver, for whatever reason.

Per Adam Schefter.

Broncos look like they are getting Flacco to lead their team moving forward. wonder what the terms are?

Well, I'll take Keenum on a cheap contract for the Jags as a stopgap. Better than Kessler.

Basically Elway didn’t like anyone in this draft and knew he couldn’t sell his team on another year of Keemun so instead of just giving Keenum a different jersey number he traded for Flacco

Hopefully he doesn’t keep Keenum for some sort of misguided camp battle

Not necessarily true. He just likes Flacco more than Keenum and this gives him a safety net if they don't get their QB and allows them to have a QB battle in camp if they do draft someone.

Ok, you’re right. Makes sense. Low cost security blanket

Fangio said no bandaids, and this looks like a bandaid. I would still expect them to draft a quarterback and then dump whoever doesn't look good between Keenum and Flacco (basically, Keenum).

I haven't looked at the contracts or anything, but Flacco seems like he'd be expensive for the Broncos to hold onto with Keenum on board as well.

My guess is Flacco is agreeing to a restructure of his contract in the terms of the trade conditions. I can't see them honestly paying him 20M+ a year.

broncos will try and shop keenum but no one will take him at 21 million, then the broncos cut him take a 10 million hit and save 11 in cap space, then wait for the jags or miami to cut bortles/tanny and then sign one of em as a backup to flacco

ps flacco wont go much below 20 million imo, would not surprise me if he gets 21 million the same amount as what keenum was gonna get for the yr

This makes it more unfortunate they didn't make Gary Kubiak the Broncos OC.

Joe Flacco had his best year under Gary Kubiak.

Play action with a speedy Philip Lindsay might have worked.
