Speaking Tuesday, owner Martha Ford also said GM Bob Quinn would be retained. "We expect to be a playoff contender and those are our expectations, which we’ve expressed to both Bob and to Matt," Ford said. 9-20-1 through nearly two full years on the job, Patricia actually oversaw major strides on offense this season before Matthew Stafford's back injury. The problem has been the utter collapse of the defense, Patricia's side of the ball. The Lions have been an absolute doormat. Patricia's seat will be white hot to begin 2020.

First to go will be PP and get somebody getting something out of that defense. Tanking for Chase Young would also help too!

Would have been great if he showed up carrying a Festivus Pole and announced he was going to air some grievances. Maybe next week.

Pretty gross once again Marrone is left to answer questions for this bumbling front office.

Khan not making a statement after nflpa ruling is also more asleep at the wheel embarrassment.

I'm guessing Khan's plan is to potentially address that when Coughlin/Caldwell get canned but I agree he should have released some kind of statement, even if it was like "We take player concerns very seriously, we are investigating all of these claims, blah blah"

I guess you didn't have to wait that long after all, Markulous

Definitely glad he's gone. Just hopefully they clean house now and don't try to salvage everything else.

Nah, Coughlin needed to go now because of the NFLPA leaks. Caldwell and Marrone don't own those. Let them go out the right way.

Yeah, neither guy has been destructive, no reason to let them go now. The players and staff don't have issues with them either (unlike Coughlin)

Figured Coughlin would have his own thread.

You want Caldwell and Marrone to stay?

No, not at all. I just mean no reason to fire them right this second, wait until black Monday. The players don't hate them and they aren't causing any harm.
