Chris Carson RB, Seattle Seahawks
Seahawks OC Brian Schottenheimer wants Chris Carson's targets to be in the 50 range.

That would be a little more than double last year's total (24). It's certainly in range with Mike Davis vacating 42 targets, especially when Pete Carroll went out of his way to say Carson might have the best hands on the entire team. There's enough smoke here to buy into a bump in receiving production in 2019, making Carson a quality RB2 option in fantasy drafts. Expect Rashaad Penny to see a bump in catches, too. There is room for two fantasy viable backs on this roster.

Last I checked, he's going in the 6th.

Color me skeptical on the receptions. I like Penny more for those.

At first I really wanted nothing to do with that backfield, but lately it's getting quite hard to ignore the hype surrounding Carson.

For context?

If it was up to Schotty, only RBs would catch passes.

QBs are a decoy.

And not to be trusted. Likely smell of elderflowers, too.

    Run, run, run, sneak, punt
Run, fake handoff/ trick play, run, fake punt. Fail
    Run, run, playaction pass, run.

^^ This is the world according to Schotty

----------------------

I can believe Carson gets the majority.

Carroll's been holding back that O for years.

Why stop now?

I'm down on everyone wearing a Seahawks uniform. Even Russ.

On paper, he has a really tasty schedule. And Kliff has no idea what the word defense means, and Carson gets the Cardinals in week 16.

Giddy up.

I'm hoping to secure both Carson and Penny, tbh.

Call me crazy but I'm a Carson believer, if he stays healthy I think he's gonna go nuts. If Penny goes down, Carson could finish a top 8 back.

Hawks Fantasy playoff schedule @RAMS, @ CAROLINA, AZ AND 49ERS

I've been able to get Carson in the 5th & 6th and Penny a round or 2 later.

I was all over Carson last season despite the Rashaad Penny hype train (I feel like rookie fever hits almost every year). But I'm shifting over to the Penny side this season. All it's going to take is one Chris Carson injury for him to take the reigns on that offense (and given Carson's playstyle and injury history that's more an inevitability than it is a question). I strongly believe that Penny is the more explosive running back that has already proven to be more efficient than Carson last season.

SEA has said it will be an RBBC this season, and for the same reason I snuck Carson onto every roster last season I'm avoiding Carson this year, and grabbing Penny rounds later-- Coach speak isn't always fluff; and I believe SEA is very serious about their plans to use both of these RB's heavily.

I have Carson as a 6th in my hybrid. He is garbage in that ppr, 20 yard per point league. TDs are also length based. He just doesn't break the long 1s. Those are for Russ the greedy bastage lookatme qb. I hate that guy.

Probably go for Penny and hope he is worth a bye week filler.

It almost always is when it's from the mouth of Pete Carroll.

The same coach speak talking up Chris Carson as the starter all off-season last year?
