12 personnel refers to formations featuring two TEs on the field. This would indicate Rob Gronkowski and one of O.J. Howard or Cam Brate should join Chris Godwin, Mike Evans as well as Ronald Jones or Ke'Shawn Vaughn in the starting lineup. The news is a damper on Godwin's hopes of again commanding a large slot role, but he's obviously a good enough talent to still make the most out of his opportunities from the outside. The real question is whether Howard or Brate will be able to rise up and secure a full-time starting role, or if we'll see an annoying committee system for that position. There should still be plenty of three-WR and two-RB sets utilized, but clearly the Bucs are attempting to play to their strengths by leaning into their embarrassment of riches at the TE position.

What is the correct question to ask is if Gronk can rise up and secure a full-time starting role?

They paid desean Jackson 10 million twice to play cards and skip meetings, just saying.

Im sure they did...but see Gronk and Brady have this sort of relationship. I doubt theyd switch to a 12 and not feature Gronk...but i guess we will see. If im Brady i think i want Gronk. He recruited Gronk himself. Brady is calling the shots in TB Ruggs. :)

Said this before, but I'd be incredibly surprised if Brady wanted to learn a new offensive System at 42 years old.

His time is limited, and it'd be a pretty poor decision to force him to move off of what he's been successful with throughout his career.

I expect this to be the Tom Brady offense with a little Arian's sprinkled in; and that offense is going to utilize Gronk and Howard.

Very possible , but Arians is stubborn. I always felt that Peyton had more control of the offense he ran, I don’t get that from Brady . Doesn’t mean that’s the case, but I think arians has always been more hands on.

I think this is going to be obe if the most interesting situations in the nfl.

Here's an OOAL then: Cam Newton is starting week 14 for the Bucs after Tom Brady retires following a crushing week 12 defeat by KC. Their now 3-9 record has been driven by weeks of media hyping stories of Brady/Arians strife.

I meant that BA has rarely used the TE as a primary weapon, which was discussed at length here earlier in the preseason.
