Dalvon Cook holding out until he gets a new deal...no camp or anything.

Mattison owners grinning ear to ear right now...

I get it, it's good on Cook to look out for his own self.

If the salary cap goes down next year, Cook will not get a big payday. It's now or never.

On the flip-side, the Vikings hold all the cards with the CBA and Mattison looking good.

Cook can hold out, but his contract just keeps resetting on top of getting fined out of his money.

Not to mention if the cap goes down significantly the Vikings would be in an even tougher spot if they committed big money to Cook in 2021.

Just trade Cook and Cousins to Seattle for Russ, who says no?

As a Mattison owner, I suggest that Cook holds out.

I wonder if one day we will see a mid-season hold out.

Like if Cook played a game before the bye than announced he wouldn't be back unless they addressed his contract. Probably the next logical step for these players, especially running back.

Pay the man, Vikes. If you go into the season without your OC, Diggs AND Cook you will be out of the playoff hunt before Thanksgiving.

All I'll say about this is: Read the way the winds are blowing this offseason.

Go get Latavius Murray on the cheap, dynasty leaguers.

Will be able to sign Mattison relatively cheap in my dynasty league. Kind of hope he holds out/gets traded. \:D/

If I'm the Vikings, I let him sit. You've got a pretty decent #2 in Mattison. Cook wants C-Mac money when...let's face it...he hasn't earned it. Yes, he's VERY good, I'll grant you that...when he's on the field. The problem is that the guy is in the training room too often. He just can't stay healthy. The Vikings are not going to commit C-Mac money to a guy who stands a very good chance of re-habbing over and over again. It's just that simple.

I'm in a rebuild at the moment in my dynasty and was offered Mattison (21) and a 3rd for my Chris Carson (25) and 5th

Thoughts?

I think you can get more.

I’d say significantly more. If you’re in a rebuild, I’d offer Carson to a team that is a RB away from title contention. I’d wager someone in that position will give you a better offer.

sometimes guys value their players a lot different. The 5th round pick isn't nothing imo so to me it's Mattison and a 3rd for Carson. You can maybe try for a 2nd +Mattison or add in a pick swap where you make up a few spots in the draft.

But i agree with elm and SJ...ask for more.
