This isn't shutting anything down, just gonna lead to rescheduling issues for a few teams and messes for fantasy lineups.

Hopefully this leads to teams using instant testing instead of relying on yesterday's results.

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports the league notified the Titans, Steelers, Vikings, and Texans that it may be forced to reschedule both contests for Week 4.
The league reportedly told the Steelers to proceed with game preparations against the Titans, which were forced to shut down its facilities until Saturday following eight new positive tests among the organization. Minnesota's facitilites, which provided 0 positive tests as of Tuesday afternoon, were also evacuated until further notice. The NFL is still discussing plans for postponement which include pushing both games to Monday/Tuesday night or rescheduling bye weeks to assist with games in Weeks 7 and 8. All ideas are on the table.

This is gonna be so messy / annoying for fantasy if they don't decide what direction to go soon. Also so the Titans just don't get to practice this week, I guess? Just talk X's and O's over Zoom?

Our league decided to add an additional IR spot for players held out due to covid. But we hadn't considered entire games getting postponed. Now we're trying to figure out how to handle this situation. None of the ideas I've heard seem ideal.

This isn't baseball/basketball/etc where teams play 4-5 games a week; going to be hard to reschedule teams that don't have the same byes...

this is going to get ugly

Found this being mentioned on Twitter, could be a possible solution but yeah the lineups would still be a mess. Tenn and Pitt go straight into their byes this week 4.

"TEN has W7 bye

PIT and BAL have W8 byes and play each other W7

Move PIT/BAL W7 game to W8 and move TEN/PIT from W4 to W7

TEN & PIT get W4 byes and BAL would have a W7 bye instead of a W8 bye"

I have a feeling the solution will work for real life football, but fantasy? Not so much.

NFL Network talking about the week 7/8 game changes already and if it goes thru, we'll know soon, no later than Saturday...also, based on TEN not being able to practice, from a competitive advantage perspective, they could change it sooner.

If any pro league can figure this out, it’ll be the NFL.
Way too much money at stake to not get games played. Plus, Mericuh!

Not disagreeing at all - but do you think fantasy football is part of their considerations?
