I am 3-1 after taking Lamar at #5.

My thinking is Lamar can win a game all by himself on any given week, that is why I want him on my team.

We shall see.

Fun fact: LJ is 28 days younger than Joey Burrow

I think LJ scored like 70 combined points against the Bengals last year.
Got a feeling this is the kinda week his owners have been waiting for.

Didn’t practice again today due to knee tho...team is saying just precautionary, has me worried a bit tho because Lamar clearly hasn’t gotten that much better throwing imo so if he’s limited with his legs this could be very detrimental to his value

The way this season is going with injuries and COVID . . . it might be a good idea for O.G.L.J. to send his phone number out to GMs.

Welp, looks like we're just going to have to ride the lightning this year.

Baltimore's defense being so good is really ruining things for all of us.

Indeed. At this point, I'm looking at other options though. Kicking myself for not grabbing Josh Allen early in the year. Now looking to the likes of Herbert, Cam, or Tannehill, maybe even Dalton.

Still not necessarily going to bench LJ, but feeling a need to have a back up at this point (don't currently have one). Besides, his bye is coming up soon anyway. I'm hoping they take the bye week to figure something out...

Bengals held him to 3 yards rushing? That ain't right.... wondering if there might be more to the knee issue than they are letting on?

Worth noting that maybe his knee issue this week was legit. His rushing volume will hopefully recover a lot of his value. I can stomach the <200 yard passing days, but I signed up for his 8-12 rushing attempts per game.

He is 17th in our league in per-game points.

It's early, but so far this thread's premise has been a bust.

I'm not opposed to drafting QBs very early (or paying big $ for them in auctions), and I did just that in three leagues this season, but picking the wrong one will screw you.*
I went with Mahomes (with Jackson still available) and Murray, and it's working out just fine.

* a first round bust at ANY position is hard to overcome. There are a lot of teams that drafted Saquon, McCaffrey, or Mike Thomas who are worse than Lamar Jackson teams right now.
