Adam Gase -
Somehow the Gase and Gregg Williams tandem actually somewhat worked last year. Once Darnold got healthy and the schedule got easier, the Jets were able to go on a mini-run. That will have to carry over into the start of this season however for Gase to save his job. Easier said than done with a brand new O-line and new receivers. Not to mention the defense that once again will be without CJ Mosely and traded away Jamal Adams. The first three games are against top tier defenses - Bills, Niners and Colts. An 0-3 start puts this season in a tailspin in a hurry

Matt Patricia -
In two years, Patricia has won a total of 9 games. Jim Caldwell averaged 9 wins a season in his four years Lions tenure. Patricia is out of excuses if he can't get the Lions to the playoffs in year 3. Bob Quinn likely follows. Luckily for the Lions there first two games are against division rivals that are on the ropes - Bears and Packers. The two games that follow are at Arizona and home against the Saints. An 0-4 start would spell doom in Detroit.

First two that came to mind.

Doug Marrone might be one of the safest.

You don’t sit by and watch roster traded off if it’s a must win season. He will get this season and next, with a likely new QB.

Bill O' Brien ? Should be on the hot seat in both of the positions he holds.

Thank you. He lives a couple houses down from me. I might go put a for sale sign in his yard.

Adam Gase is probably frontrunner right now with Dan Quinn not too far behind him although his losses are closer games.

The issue with Gase is, who steps up as interim coach?

He surrounded himself with mediocrity. Dowell Loggains? Gregg Williams?

I assume its Williams given he took over for a bit with the Browns.

I think that's obvious.

Both are guys that won't serve out their tenure as soon as they are eliminated from playoffs (IF they miss the playoffs). There's always an advantage to firing your guy ASAP to start your search.

The bet is which week that happens.

The Jets have a week 11 bye, but they'll probably be at 6 losses by week 7. I don't see them surviving:
IND (T), DEN (T), ARI (L), BUF (L), KC (L), NE (L)

The Falcons near term schedule is winnable.
CHI (W), GB (T), CAR(W), MIN(W), DET(W)

Falcons will be 4-3 by week 7 or 5-2 at best. A bit of over panicking there, Falcons faced 2 deep playoff contender teams.

At the current moment Matt Patricia will get fired before Dan Quinn. But Gase probably has the best Vegas odds to be #1.

These are always situations to keep attention to because when the new regime takes over they have nothing to lose, so they tend to play the young promising rookies and backups and shoot for the moon. Or they don't get cute and stick to the studs (Bell). Good value pickups.

If Fangio isn’t on the hot seat, he should be.

Though as a Raiders fan, I hope he and Elway stay forevah.

I suspect that spate of injuries gives him an excuse.

Yeah I agree, however his incompetence with on the field game management should supersede whatever excuses the injuries provide, in my humble opinion.
