I think the execution was the problem. I mean if your going to trade away Hopkins you need the return for it.

At the current moment the question is who steps in?

Dirk Koetter or Raheem Morris?

Both have HC experience. Both are uninspiring.

Jason moonlighted as JJ's wife's pool boy. That is the only reason JG managed to last as long as he did.

Both Tampa Bay retreads too.
I feel for Atlanta to have to choose between Tweedledee and Tweedledum.
Dirk will probably get the nod, because Raheem was way over his head in TB. Saying "head coaching experience" with him was a stretch.

I heard one of the guys on the Sunday Drive on Sirius yesterday say "Atlanta hit their head on the ceiling at 28-3 and its been a free fall back to the floor ever since." lol

Well, they came and slapped Morris in. Seems they are tanking for Trevor.

Either choice would have been seen that way.

Arguably that Super Bowl appearance was Kyle Shanahan's Super Bowl.

Atlanta always has been bad.

People are going to say the Falcons can Tank for Trevor but can the Falcons get out of Ryan's contract though?

2021 he has a $40M cap number

Looking over the contract, it looks like he is locked into Atlanta at least through 2022. The dead money is a little more workable in 2023 at $8M

It's interesting that the people everyone thought would be the first to go are surviving so long.

Bill O' Brien
Dann Quinn
Adam Gase
Matt Patricia

Surprise firings:
Anthony Lynn? - Chargers have a deep playoff cast, but they are grossly under-performing
Zac Taylor? - Joe Burrow was supposed to be the last thing this team needed
Doug Marrone? - Unlikely
Matt Nagy? - Somehow the Bears are 3-1 4-1 (on the back of Chuck Pagano)
Mike McCarthy - Some where calling for it, but they are winning division games and Dak gives Mike an excuse

Any bets on who's next.
