Not to mention other perks (paid radio/tv show).

The base salary and signing bonuses add up to a guaranteed $44,050,000. Without doing the math, it looks like the rest of the incentives over 7 years gets him to the $48M area reported.

The "academic performance" incentive makes me giggle - yeah, go ahead and pretend like that is in any way important, if it helps you sleep at night.

I love Michigan..and as a Bucks fan, I mean that in the light that I respect the hell out of them. They have elite academics, a storied organization and rarely have issues of a criminal nature. Their fans are avid, but i guarantee you one thing..very few fans of the football team would have supported a guy like Paterno had they had the same scenario as Penn State did. Different mentality altogether. EVERY single game i have attended at the Big House had class written all over it. It's the best damned rivalry in sports. I know Mich and Mich St is bloodier..it's just that 20 some Mich players are always from Ohio..and that matters.

How avid are they when their own students have quit going to games? Their student tickets dropped in half in the last two years.

This spring, the Michigan athletic department admitted what many had long suspected: Student football ticket sales are down, way down, from about 21,000 in 2012 to a projected 13,000-14,000 this season.

That game is not going to help get the southern talent.

Camp or no camp.

was watching a high school football game on tv. one of the iowa teams had michigans next QB. Harbaugh compared him to Luck. looked like a man amongst boys out there. dont know his name but he can play.

brandon peters from indiana?

biggest qb recruit for us in a while....but i'll tap the brakes on the luck comparison....though they are both ranked similarly by scouts.

it will take some time but our run game and defense is certainly top 25 worthy. jake is coming around making better decisions but the NW/MSU stretch is gonna be rough. but that d is stout. nice to know that utah is looking pretty studly and we only lost to them because of very poor QB play.

yeah, the utah loss looks much better now than it did a couple of weeks ago. everything you've said is spot on. i knew that the D was going to be good this year, but it looks VERY strong. and couple that with improved O-Line play, and we have the type of football we're accustomed to seeing.
