After a (series of) run in(s) with the school and coaches lately, Lyerla has not only left the program ... but the school.

That being said, everyone is saying there are no problems (tho there obviously must have been for one of the parties, no?) and that they are all "still friends".

USA Today wrote:Lyerla said he does not plan to transfer to another school but that he plans to pursue a professional football career. He said he and Helfrich spoke Sunday night and that they are "on good terms".

Two sides to every story, so it'll be interesting to hear his - but it doesnt look like the worlds most mature decision as it stands right now and i hope he's prepared to be patient as he gets asked the same set of questions with only slightly different permutations. 32 times :F

The detectives and Lyerla agreed to meet at at Lyerla's residence to continue the investigation, according to the report, but once there Lyerla ran from the vehicle into a nearby apartment. He was arrested upon exiting the apartment and was taken to Lane County Jail. He was released at 9:20 p.m. PT.

So the twitterverse that was already saying he wouldn't get drafted is going to sing in unison now.
