Living in Wisconsin and being a huge Badger fan, I've been a fan of both these guys since the day the put on the cardinal and white, and that admiration has continued on into their respective NFL careers.

It got me to thinking today, which of these two dynamic players would be considered the best former Badger playing in the NFL right now?

Wilson has already led his team to a Super Bowl victory (although many will say it was actually the vaunted Seattle defense that led the way), while JJ Watt has clearly assumed the leadership role on the Texans defense and is one of the most exciting (as well as liked and respected) players in the game today.

So which one would you consider to the best of the two? Why? Please elaborate in your reply.

Watt is the better player.

I think Wilson is overrated personally. He's done some things this year that have me questioning that... But I still see him as a good QB on a great team.

Watt is a great player on a good team.

Right. This is a ridiculous question. Watt is the best defensive player in the NFL.

Wilson may be a top 5-6 quarterback--maybe. I don't think he's there yet, but it may be arguable.

I don't disagree. He's been a rock on that Cleveland line for several years now, but it's hard to quantify how good an O-lineman is since there are really no measurables for them.

Joe Thomas is as good as they get at that position.

Right, if you want to include Joe Thomas, Wilson falls to #3.

Yup.

He's not in the same conversation as difference makers.

If only Al ever had any semblance of a QB or passing game aside from the concussions..
