I always felt I was a little homerish about Levy.

Not to nitpick, well...ok...to nitpick...the defense kept them in those games. Defense plays a big role in QBs who have comebacks.

I always go back to the early 00s with this topic.

2000 Vinny Testaverde (37) 4 NYJ
2001 Vinny Testaverde (38) 5 NYJ
2002 Kerry Collins (30) 5 NYG
2003 Jake Delhomme (28) 5 CAR

Those were your yearly leaders in 4th quarter comebacks...

If he would have done his job in the first 3 quarters those 4th quarter comebacks wouldn't have been necessary. Besides the defense had to keep it close enough for a comeback.

Based on what, exactly?

03 Panthers comebacks:

wk 1 - Down 17 to Jax (6th ranked D)
wk 2 - Winning OT Drive at Tampa (5th ranked D)
wk 6 - vs Peyton, winning OT Drive at Indy (11th ranked D)
wk 10 - vs Tampa, GW drive in 4th
wk 11 - vs Washington, GW drive in 4th (25th ranked D)
wk 15 - at Arizonza, GW drive in 4th (26th ranked D)
Playoffs - at St. Louis, GW drive in OT (16th ranked D)

Most of those were pretty good Ds and most were on the road also.

"Stats" and "rankings" are more situational for the vast majority of teams. You know this.

Once again, the mythical 'Birddog' rankings/ratings that no one has actually seen has been referenced. :thumbright:

But tell me more about how that Tampa D wasn't any good.

I just checked. Wisconsin is currently ranked as the #9 Defense in the country.

The play-by-play broadcasters mentioned before last weekends game Wisky's defense was ranked top-10 in the country in every defensive category. Yup, top-10 in every category & #9 Defense in the country currently. Don't hold your breath waiting for me to bang a drum about it at any point.

On the other hand, every pass defense in the civilized world wants to see Wisky on the schedule.
