The NCAA only strengthens the argument they should pay the players compensation.
Sounds great. Now you only have to figure out how to dole out the money. Who gets the money. How to get around Title IX. Oh, and how to fund all the sports besides football and basketball that actually lose money.
We need to back away from the abyss that is the wild west concept of "just let 'em make whatever they can".
Definitely they need to change the way things are handled, but just like most things throwing money at the problem isn't the best solution.
