- 5 taxi squad spots. Rookies can go on the taxi squad, & may stay there for up to 2 years.
-You can assign any length contract to a player you want. But your whole roster (excluding taxi) cannot exceed 60 total contract years. Any empty roster spots under 25 still count 1 year against the total contract years. When player contracts expire they go into a RFA auction where all owners can bid on them. Each franchise can choose a franchise player who they can keep out of the auction for 20 smackers, the league currency. Or you could let other players bid on your franchise player & receive compensation according to how he rated in scoring points at his position. Each year after the RFA auction teams will be replenished with 50 smackers. The smackers carryover from year to year.
